Your mailboxes work overtime when you're a voter and awards season arrives. That's just my mail today. I probably threw out the same amount of screeners yesterday because I haven't owned a DVD player since like 2009 lol. They should just give you the option to choose if you want to get digital or physical screeners because it's such a waste. All the physical ones they send me go straight to the garbage. I have nothing else to do with them.

I also don't even know why I pay for the steamers I do when I'm going to get sent screeners for all the shows and movies come awards season anyway. In case you don't know...why do voters get screeners? All the studios and networks want to make sure we have seen everything so we get packages/links upon packages/links before voting opens. Sometimes you even get screeners before things premiere. They typically tend to be tied specifically to you, like the film is watermarked or something, so you can't just screenrecord and leak it or whatever. And with digital screeners you have unique access codes to see them that work just for you. But, for example, HBO Max basically sent what equates to a login for their platform this year were you can see all their shows and moves. I'm sure everyone who paid for it all year regretted it. The first couple of episodes of Station Eleven were even accessible on there before they ever premiered for everyone else on the regular HBO Max. Basically being a voter has pretty cool perks...except the DVDs when you don't have a DVD player lol.
