i wasn't gonna say anything about the patricia taxxon transmysoginistic harassment campaign (mostly because of my own personal fears and. well, prior experiences of stuff like this.)
but come the fuck ON. JUST FUCK RIGHT OFF WITH THIS SHIT. don't bring the rhythm doctor team into this kiwifarms-ass bullshit. (they have directly linked to the harassers' posts, by the way)
this genuinely pisses me off by the way. like, GENUINELY genuinely. this is probably all i will contribute to any of the argument, just so you know. fuck the kiwifarms fucks, fuck the people continuing to spread the kiwifarms-esque harassment.
(sorry to any rhythm doctor fans that doesnt know what this is about that sees this, by the way.)
Just sad how ep20 should be so amazing for Melendaire shippers cos after 3 seasons of slow buildup and pure beautiful chemistry, we see their friendship turn into more. It’s the dream for every shipper.
but instead, we get this. an “i love you” on a deathbed, a half-hearted goodbye to one of the best characters on the show that we grew to love and adore and a pathetic and desperately sad ending (that wasn’t even well-written) for our ship.
The next morning started before the sun was even up. The sky was grey and the stars were winking out of sight tiredly when the rest of the flock began to stir noisily. Many of them were snapping out of their feral-like trances, and becoming a bit more conscious.
One mother stretched and complained to her mate how her back ached as she began to count her young ones.
Another, older male grumbled about how he was getting too old for all this nonsense.
From a high stone pile, probably just a natural mudslide from the natural land slope behind the beach, the four Shrikes were already preparing to take off again. A fifth had joined them in the night, a handsome porcelain giant with blue and gold markings. He looked down at the flock, and launched himself down, flaring his wings to catch himself from landing too soon.
When he landed, he crushed the older male who had been complaining beneath his feet. The poor creature let out a strangled squawk and squirmed, before the Shrike pressed down and silenced him. For good.
“If you’re going to complain...” he rumbled, with a voice so deep it made Daisä’s bones shake. “Then perhaps you should not have come. If you’re alive, take to the skies.” His peircing green eyes landed on the misfit family of a fiaclan, a halfling, and a dwarf, and he scowled with disgust, already stalking towards them. The teal spines on his neck began to quiver and rattle angrily as he raised his voice.
s/o also to the stranger things fandom for being fucking ephebophiles, I am literally having a conversation with a friend right now about how y’all are the reason we’re nervous to raise kids
look I don't always beg for writers to reconsider story lines, but if I could??? If I could erase just ONE ending from ANY piece of popular media?
It'd be the way Donna Noble's arc ended.
You cannot tell me that the MOST IMPORTANT WOMAN IN THE UNIVERSE, who learned to believe in herself and found her inner strength and confidence just.... forgets it all and goes back to being some temp with low self-esteem and a shitty home life, and that if she remembers any WHISPER of the events that shaped her into a stronger person, she dies.
