Hi! I wanted to ask your opinion about a fairly recurring opinion that I have seen on social networks, according to some fans of Rhaenyra and Harwin, if Viserys had not sent Strong to Harrenhal Daemyra would never have returned even though they were both widowed, that Rhaenyra would have preferred to continue with her life on Dragonstone with Harwin (maybe like her new husband) and that she only married Daemon because she was pregnant and no longer had Laenor's cover, so despite suspecting that Daemon could have killed the man she loved (They strongly emphasize the fact that Daemon supposedly saw this man as competition as a proven fact that Rhaenyra preferred him over him), she remained with him because she needs someone to claim their son. This opinion doesn't seem consistent to me at all, but now it's fashionable in some circles to say that the love of Rhaenyra's life and the man who made her feel loved is Harwin, so...What do you think? Would Rhaenyra have been with Daemon even without Harwin being sent away? I am surprised by this opinion, especially coming from people who have read the book.
Hey,
Here's the thing right. Ask those people to do this simple mathematics where they try to guess which came first- baby Aegon's conception or Harwin's death.
Then ask them why is it that Rhaenyra, who popped out 3 back to back kids with Harwin just...decided to stop as soon as Daemon came back to Westeros? Why is it that after Daemon's return, Rhaenyra seemed to only be seen with her uncle and friend with no mention of Harwin anywhere? Why is it that not for once did anyone even doubt babyAegon could be Harwin's? Why is it that even at her worst, lowest moments Rhaenyra only seems to call out for Daemon? No mention of "the love of her life"?
Now, of course anyone can believe Harwin Strong was the best thing since bread because he agreed to bang Rhaenyra secretly and.......? Uh... (Remind me again what did he do for her? I must have forgotten.)
P.s. hope it's just about canon Daemyra.
