can we have more of pajamas au? might lose year long friends and need some comfort
We can :) I hope everything goes well with your friends
The world of PJ-8 (infinite pjs) is eternally twilight, with the sun either rising or setting no matter where you are. There are no parents, just infinite kids having sleepovers forever. They crawl out from the complex caverns of mattresses and blankets beneath their feet, eternally children. There's infinite cozy pajamas to change into, and nothing ever really bad happens ever (There are of course, dramatic fights, harrowing pillow wars, and tragic conflicts in movies to watch, but no world is truly perfect and without conflict). If you stop and listen, the wind carries a thousand lullabies in pleasant tones, and the stars twinkle with ambient white noise.
Stan and Ford crawled out together and Knew they were brothers and that their names were Stanford and Stanley (Ford crawled out fifteen minutes before Stan did, blinking blearily around him before Stan flopped out after him). The first sleepover they were ever invited to was Filbricks and Caryns (yes, they are also children(they are still their parents but with 0 authority over them. Its complicated pj politics)), which sadly didn't last long as Fords perfect pillow got ruined by Stan's toffee peanut hands, and the Pines (yes they have the same last name, due to crawling out with similar Pine Pajamas) didn't get invited to the West Coast Tree House (the tree is also pillows), so Stan got kicked from the sleepover, and Ford eventually left to make his own blanket fort in the pillow pines.
There's no Bill, instead Fords new friend Fiddleford left his sleepover to hang out with Emma-May and he got lonely, leading him to sending a shooting star invitation to Stan (who was sleeping on the couch streets with Shanklin the stuffed possum (animals are all stuffed, except for the ones that aren't)). Now both brothers happily sleep over at Fort Stan, with occasional visitors.
Stan and Ford crawled out into the open sky and stretched. They were wearing matching pajamas (as they usually did), which were red with shimmering gold stars. Stan had on a night cap and fuzzy slippers, while Ford was wearing his usual tan bathrobe over it with some brown monster feet slippers. They yawned and rubbed their eyes, then blinked at the floating ball of light in front of them.
It shimmered and let out a twinkling bell sound, until Stan reached out and touched it. In an explosion of confetti and glitter, Stan was holding a post card.
"Oh," he said, flipping it over, "Its from Shermie. He's inviting us to his place. Wanna go?"
"Hmmmm sure." Ford mumbled, eyes still hazy with sleep. The two of them went through their post nap routine, stretching their arms and slapping each other awake with pillows, before waving at Stan's shooting star to give them a lift. It left a red and white trail as they blew through the sky, waving at other passing shooting stars and chatting about what kinds of sleep over activities Shermie might have planned.
The star slowed as it neared Shermies blanket fort, a large sheet draped expertly over the nearby couches and pinned to a mattress wall. Stan didn't wait for it to stop at a hover, throwing himself over the side in a burst of giggles and bouncing on the springy ground while he waited for Ford. Ford, being more mindful and also carrying a backpack, waited for it to get closer to the ground before sliding off with a giggle of his own.
"Shermie!" Stan called, cupping his hands as he bounced towards the entreance of his blanket fort, "Shermie, its us!"
Several other sleepers shushed him, but Stan ignored it.
"SHERMIE! SHERMIE! SHER- Oh, hey Shermie." Both brothers grinned at the other boy as he crawled out of his fort, and Shermie shook his head back at them. Shermie was only a little taller then them, and his chubby cheeks held twice as much freckles. He was wearing the family pajama's in his colors, green with black pine trees on them, his hair a mess of curls and a pair of bunny slippers on his feet.
"Oh, were we supposed to dress up?" Ford asked, bouncing to join Stan in throwing his arms around their older brother, "Your message didn't say anything. My apologies."
"No need to say sorry." Shermie ruffled their hair and waved them around the back of his fort, "I wanted it to be a surprise. You should still have time to change, but come here! Look!"
The twins exchanged looks before following. At the back of Shermie's fort was a giant pillow mound, and in the middle-
"A tunnel!" Stan shouted, bursting past Shermie to gape at it, "When-"
"A few days ago," Shermie said, puffing up, "Xander found it, so it'll be up to him to host. I'm gonna be a grandpa!"
"Congratulations Shermie," Ford pat his brother on the back and grinned at the hole, "Do you know if it'll be a boy or a girl?"
"Xander head some squealing, so we're thinking girl," Shermie grabbed Stan from where he was starting to poke his head into the small opening, "but Diane swears its gonna be a boy."
"What kind of theme were you thinking?" Stan asked, bouncing on the tips of his toes, "Dinosaurs? Monster trucks? Ocean?"
"Stars," Shermie herded them back towards his fort, "Diane's got all the decorations ready, and Xander is getting snacks. In the mean time, you two get changed."
The twins grinned and shot off towards the fort (after grabbing their dropped bags where the Stanley Shooter had dropped them off before returning to the twilight sky), and quickly crawled under the blanket. A quick change and some frantic hair managing, and they burst back outside in a jumble of limbs.
Stan and ford had near identical family pajama's. Both were brown with black pine trees, both were button ups with long pants, both came with a cozy night cap, and both came with a pair of comfy black slippers. The only difference was the buttons. Fords were tiny golden hands, while Stan had golden fish.
The back yard was already decorated when they reemerged. Glowing star shaped fairly lights were hanging around the edges of Shermies fort, the pillow mound, and the nearest pillow trees and mattress walls, a low table was full of star shaped snacks, and a star blanket was now hanging over the hole, for maximum revealing drama. Shermie had a stack of board games out already, and he, Xander, and Diane were playing Go Fish with star themed playing cards.
Xander, Shermies son, had a pair of grey on gray pine tree pajama's, while Diane, Xander's co-host, had her own orange and pink polka dot onesie.
They got dealt in, and the five of them chatted and eyed the blanket as far above shooting stars darted across the sky, a thousand voices sang lowly on the breeze, and buttoned eyed birds sang sweet melodies in the down feather pillow trees.
Finally, and in no time at all, a large crash drew their attention. The blanket Diane had carefully draped over the hole was now a tangled mess on the ground, while a girl with wild long hair yelled and swung her way out. She was wearing a pair of button up pajama's, a gentle pink with purple pines. On her head was a rainbow sleeping cap, with a bright golden star on the end.
Diane jumped up to help her, a wide grin on her face as she hurried over to help the new girl get out of the blanket. The rest of the Pines followed, Xander's face nearly splitting from the smile on his face.
"There we are!" Diane chirped, as she pulled the girl to her feet, "Up we get!"
"Woah, head rush!" the girl grabbed her head and blinked at them with deep brown eyes, and her bright smile showed of a set of braces on her teeth, "Did you see my dramatic entrance? Pretty cool, huh?"
"You're landing could use some work." Stan replied, and Ford elbowed him in the ribs. The brothers got into a elbow fight, before a groan from the tunnel caught their attention.
Crawling out was another kid. He flopped over the side in a heap, before rolling over and panting heavily. He was also wearing pine patterned pajama's, but instead of pink and purple they were brown and browner, with blue and white striped trim. On his head was a long blue and white cap, and on the end was a bright blue pine tree.
Xander hurriedly went over to help him too his feet, and the new boy groaned.
Once they were all standing the new kids grabbed hands and smiled at each other.
"My names Xander, Xander Pines, and this is Diane. We'll be hosting you until you're ready to make your own fort. This is my former host Shermie, you're grandpa, and that's Stanley and Stanford, your great uncles." Xander pointed at everyone as he introduced them, and they gave the newest twins a little wave and grin.
"You can call us your grunkles," Stan said, hooking an arm around Ford, "Thats way faster to say."
"Grunkles, got it." The girl said with a sharp nod. They stood there in silence, until Shermie coughed and got their attention, "and you are...?"
"OH!" The girl tugged her brother closer to her and they smushed their cheeks together in a practiced motion, "I'm Mabel-"
"And I'm Mason," The boy said, and it was only now with their faces angled that the giant mark on his forehead was visible, "but i prefer Dipper."
"Mabel and Dipper Pines," Shermie nodded, "I like it! Now come on! Happy Birthday!"
"Happy Birthday!" The rest of them echoed, before jumping into action. Snacks were offered, games played, and a perfectly sized star pinata was tugged out and hung from a tree. They took turns swinging at it, until Mabel slammed the bat into it with such force it exploded, raining all their favorite candy down on them.
When they got tired of snacks and board games, they climbed into Shermies Fort, turned on the TV, and let the newest Pines twins pick what they wanted to watch. The two of them argued for a few minutes, before deciding on Stellar Battles. Shermie put it on, and the seven of them made themselves comfortable under several large blankets as it got going.
Under the dozy eternal twilight sky, in a pile of limbs and snagged stuffed animals, they slowly fell asleep, one by one, lulled by a distant song, a ever present smell of home, and the feeling of safety.
Just realized I never posted this!
Anyways saw this post that said that the fact that when Nightmare corrupts he gets a color palette change (from purple to cyan) while Dream doesn't (cause Shattered!Dream's still yellow) and then the person proposed drawing S!Dream with red instead of yellow
Anyways that has changed my whole perspective on everything and so I drew it, here's what I did xd
Very quick drawing, not very detailed nor good........ but I had fun doing it >:3
