Of course we’re not taking anything trans men say into account of how they feel about lesbians regarding them the same way they regard butch lesbians. Who cares if they don’t like being misgendered!

Cis lesbians take note: trans men are not one of you. We’re not the same. We’re not “visually and characteristically indistinguishable” unless there are large numbers of butch lesbians taking testosterone and getting top surgery and phalloplasty done, and even if the guy is pre-t and pre-op he’s still trying to look like a guy, not a masculine woman. If you mistake a trans man for a lesbian, apologize and abandon all hope and expectation of anything you’d have done if he were a lesbian cause anything you’d get out of pursuing him further will result in pain and undue stress for you both not to mention it shows a complete lack of respect for the guy.

And no. No amount of big words are gonna change that.

Stop listening to cis women on issues that directly affect trans people. Start listening to trans people.

No way to get rid of it or even really lessen it, just ways to cope like always having low-level background noise going

Generally no, but it depends on what's causing it. Something like ear drum damage is permanent, so in that case you have to manage it. Youtube has a lot of tinnitus vids that help you relax, like sounds of running water etc. Also get in touch with your doc and they can help you. However if the tinnitus is caused by fluid in the ear, taking an antihistamine can help, as can decongestants like sudafed. For me a cheap antihistamine (cetirizine) is doing the trick right now. 

Also if it's caused by wax get some sodium bicarb off the doc and that will remove the blockage in a few days. But definitely get in touch with your doc if you haven't already, they'll guide you as to what you need to do.

I did worry as much. I’ve had problems with wax buildup in the past though so I might try and have a go with that (I’ve heard olive oil is good for that as well). I’m going to the doctors in a couple of days time so I’ll make sure to ask them to guide me through it. Thanks!
