Madagascar bright-eyed treefrog (Boophis madagascariensis) active at night into the secondary forest along the road close to Andasibe-Mantadia National Park. Some species can thrive well even in secondary forest, but many others will not survive when the primary one is cut and Madagascar is on the brink of collapsing. My trip there into the central-eastern part showed me endless poverty. If a miracle will not happen soon, the society and the biodiversity of this amazing place is doomed. And I'm an endless optimist!
