Also known as 'Bulletproof Coffee' or 'Keto Coffee', Butter Coffee is both a centuries-old beverage and a rising coffee style since 2011.
For those who don’t quite know what the hubbub is about, it is believed that the buttered beverage brings benefits to the drinker as a ‘low carb, high fat’ drink that has trace amounts of vitamins and antioxidants. Despite lacking research, it’s claimed that the butter’s oils and fats ‘mix’ with the caffeine, which is slowly digested -meaning that the energy will last longer and will avoid giving you a caffeine crash.
For me, though? I honestly just like the taste. Since I had most ingredients lying around, it only took me about five minutes to make this (give or take the time wasted to figure out the blender again), and voila! Butter coffee!
Now, it’s not the best tasting brew I’ve had, BUT it had proved to mellow-out the usual bite of black coffee and blend well with the Stevia I brought to sweeten it. I would definitely recommend a try for those trying to cut back on the creamer and table sugar. It has also made it easier to write since I’m not vibrating enough to make an electron jealous.
