Cassandra Clare really said that she’s figuring out her schedule till 2030 when I can’t even decide what I’m having for lunch like bro??? 2030??? That is 6 years from now girl calm down.

also the fact that she used 2030 and TBVOTD in the same sentence does not bore well for my mental well being which depends entirely on the release date of BVOTD. if I have to wait another 6 years for new malec content I will simply combust into flames. the fact that malec is forcing me to live for another 6 years is CRIMINAL and this is how I know I’ll never love anyone as much I love these two dickheads.

TWP and BBoTD Teasers

So, I went through the 13 teasers that we have of TWP and BBoTD for the 13 millionth time and I have some questions regarding some of the snippets and I know that I won't get answers just yet, so I'm looking for imagination.

Teaser 2: He kissed each finger, and with each one of them spoken a word. Five kisses, five words. His last.

Now, I'm clueless. Clearly this is someone important who dies and it's a he. Ideas, anyone? I wish my brain was hardwired for more optimism.

Teaser 7: His face crumpled. "He hates me," he said. "All I do is love him, but he hates me, he just hates me, and I don’t know why."

I know, I know, kinda obvious that this is Ty talking about Kit, but I'm just curious. We see in Ghosts of Shadow Market that Ty avoids talking about Kit, even to Livvy, who he literally performed necromancy for! Does he think about Kit a lot or does he involuntarily do it anyway even if he doesn't want to? Clearly something more than what had happened in QoAaD is up which finally got Ty to talk about it. Comment your thoughts!

Teaser 1: Marry me today.

I feel like the most questions about all the teasers are about this one. There is literally nothing to go on, unlike the other 2 where we at least have something. It's like, we're so clueless our imagination stops working at the sheer amount of possibilities, and when we try to write them down they seem like nonsense. Don't worry though, I'm up for nonsense.

Cassandra Clare announced in her most recent newsletter the release dates for Chain of Thorns (January 31, 2023) and Sword Catcher (October 10, 2023). She also announced that at this moment, there is no scheduled release date for The Black Volume of the Dead. As always, this countdown will begin whenever we get a release date. Stay tuned! 💫

With the knowledge that Black Volume of the Dead takes place during TWP that Alec makes the Magnus resurrecting Alec theory a lot more plausible. The way I'm thinking is Alec dies at the end of the first book and then Black Volume happens concurrently or before with the second book in the series. Also, if it happens like that then Alec could count as our Lightwood death for the series. Actually, I have another theory, idk if I've talked about this, where TWP is a downworlder-shadowhunter war. What if the first act is the murder of the Consul, Inquisitor, and Mark Blackthorn, getting our three deaths out of the way immediately. Idk I'm just throwing out ideas right now while talking to a friend.
