I feel like the Magnus and Alec have too much content arguments for them not being in Better than Black just don't hold up. Like, Clary and Jace have six books, SIX. People are saying that Magnus and Alec have their own trilogy, okay? Literally every other main couple in a trilogy is featured other than Magnus and Alec. Also I don't really think it's fair to put Magnus and Alec's trilogy on the same level as the others because of we're being honest they are not to the same level of quality. The Eldest Curses books are consistently the shortest in the series, lean very heavily on outside material and are pretty clearly treated as more of a side project than a main series trilogy. People are saying that they have four short stories, yeah that's only to make up for their lack of inclusion in TMI. Like I think to make the claim that they have more content than Clace is frankly ridiculous and to say that they have too much content to be included alongside every other lead couple is incredibly unfair

Since Magnus has been around for centuries, he’s had centuries worth of gifts, celebrations, and people that have come and gone in his life.
I wanted to do something that captured Magnus’ life through the centuries, but also showcased the most important thing he gained during all his years : Family.

The fabric/tapestry is from a common item that was sold in the Indonesean Market between the 15th and 16th century, Magnus was born in the 16th century I figured it’d be something he would have seen. Shoutout to google.
Finally the reciept from Alec & Magnus first date, complete with everythinf they ordered and “werewolf rights” written across the bottom 😂🙄

Here's to one of the best characters ever written in the history of books 🥂 Magnus has always been a brightening presence, both on the page and in my mind, and I can't count the number of times I've looked back on something that Magnus had said which gave me enough strength to make it through the day. Magnus’s journey of 400 years (and counting) has been long and rough, and I hope he's having a lovely day with his husband and children and the rest of his family ❤
And to anyone who needs to hear this - There is no great secret. You endure what is unbearable, and you bear it. That's all.
