Lois Lane… He was always with that woman. Lois Lane. You knew that they were colleagues but still, you couldn’t help but to feel a little jealous. They did everything together. When stuff that wasn’t work related. You felt kinda left out and you were supposed to be Clark’s girlfriend.
Today was one of those bad days were if something went slightly wrong, you would cry on the spot or be furious. Of course was it the perfect day for your boyfriend to meet that woman.
“Bye (Y/N), I heading of to work.” Clark yelled before he closed the door behind him.
You rolled your eyes. Your jealousy was so strong someone from across the road could smell it and you kept on feeling like this for the entire day. They were being so cute with each other it made you feel sick. You made yourself ready to head to work, you would probably be bitter the whole day after what happened in the morning.
You put on a simple outfit and headed out through the door. Your work was at an office in Metropolis that wasn’t owned by neither Mr. Luthor nor Mr. Wayne. Which was a rare thing. It wasn’t very glamorous but it gave you a very good salary. You sat there by your computer and the thought of your boyfriend and that woman came up again, which made you sigh heavily. You knew you overreacted about it but you couldn’t help it and of course it didn’t help knowing that he had had feelings for her in the past. It made you think that they maybe would hit it up again. Clark had reassured you so many times that he loved you but you couldn’t help your bitterness taking the best of you.
The day went on quite slow and your shift ended. You walked out of the building.
“(Y/N)!” you heard someone shout. It was Clark. You huffed quite loudly and turned around to see your boyfriend running towards you with the biggest smile on his face. Your inner persona was torn, because he was so cute and happy, but you were still jealous and bitter about the morning.
“Hey, Clark.”
“Hey, do we have any plans for tonight?”
“No why?”
“Because me and Lois needed-…”
You didn’t want to hear the end of the conversation because you knew how it would end. He and Lois would go out for dinner and fall in love again and he would leave you for her. You walked out in the traffic, hearing Clark following behind you and shouting your name to get you to stop. His shouting stopped abruptly and you hear metal hit something that sounded softer. You turned around to see Clark on the concrete and a car with an indentation in the front. Clark rose up slowly, shaking his head.
“Clark!” you panicked and run towards him. You held you hand against his head and feeling after broken bones.
“I’m fine, (Y/N). I promise.”
You smiled and helped him up and you walked together back to the apartment. You led him to the couch and checked on him again.
“(Y/N) I’m fine, really. Not a scratch.”
You nodded your head.
“Why did you run away from me? Did I say something wrong?”
You sigh again knowing you had to tell him the truth.
“I was… jealous…”
“Jealous?” Clark asked puzzled.
“Yeah, of you and Lois…”
“Why?”
“Because of how the two of you are always together and you look so happy with her. I know that you have had feelings for her so it wouldn’t surprise me if they came back.”
“(Y/N), I love you and only you. Lois is in the past. You’re my future.”
You smiled and blushed by the sweet words he used.
“What I was going to ask you before was that me and Lois needed to go to a dinner at a charity ball and we could bring a partner if we wanted. Lois has a boyfriend now so she suggested that you should come along with us to the ball.”
