My dear people of tumblr, today is a good day. For this day I have convinced my family to watch my recommendation for our family tv show night.
For context, every Monday we get together to watch a couple episodes of a tv show together. This includes my brother and his partner who do not live in the same house as us so have to travel to participate. It is fun. We cook dinner, talk about the past week, and then settle down to watch. Pretty nice. The last show we watched was The Magicians. After that our tv show night got put on hold cause of work stuff and health crisis, blah blah blah. But now everything is good again and we need a new tv show to watch.
Everyone wants something with long episodes and multiple seasons, at least like 4 seasons, and had to be something the majority had not already seen. Shouldn’t be too hard but we all have such wildly different tastes it was hard to come together on an agreement. Now, some may be thinking that I was going to recommend OUAT. And while I have a spot in my heart for OUAT I know there was no way I was gonna sell them on 7 seasons that all go kinda down hill after season 3.
So. In all my wisdom I brought forth to them the other tv show that is near and dear to my heart that I have been trying to get them to watch for years. I am the only one who has watched it and they have zero context for what goes on in this show.
Oh they are gonna be so pissed at the ending I can’t wait!
