Got some great news from my work today! Once I pass my Clinical Chemistry test next April, I'll be getting paid as much as a Medical Technologist ;D Which is about a 50% increase in pay! I'm also starting a little project to help our department keep logs on instrument errors. I know it sounds nerdy, but I'm SO excited! x3

Real Life OTPs

OHMYGOSH, so you ever have real life OTPs with friends/peers/celebrities even?? AND THEN THEY HAPPEN?! AAAAAHHHH! I have these 2 great friends from college, and I tried to get them together 'cause I thought they'd be great, and they seemed some interest in each other. The problem was, at the time last summer, the girl was having a bit of trouble moving on from her last relationship, so nothing came from it. But I found out just now that they just got into a relationship. Eeeeeee! I'm so happy for them, but a little sad I can't be around to see it since I graduated and moved far away. Raawwrr! x3

11 Questions for ME:

1. What was the first album you bought? I believe it was Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park ;D 2. What, if anything, do you wish your parents or school would have taught you about life? Hmm... some sort of advice about how to market myself. I feel like I was always given things to do, but not always explained why, or shown how to present my skill set to others. So now I'm kinda like, well I did ALL these things, but I barely have a clue as to how to show that to other people. 3. Who taught you about sex? Mostly the internet XD Also, nothing's better than trying it hands-on >///>; 4. How did you spend your 21st birthday (or whatever age you were legally allowed to consume alcohol)? If not yet that age, how do you intend to celebrate it? I turned 21 a week before going back to college for the Fall, so I spent it with a handful of my hometown friends (who were all older than me anyway) in a pretty cool bar. I got pretty sloshed, but not overboard, so I had a really awesome time ;D My first alcoholic drink was a Long Island Iced Tea, and my first shot was a Three Wise Men (Jack Daniels, Johnnie Walker, and Jim Beam). 5. Why did you join Tumblr? I joined because I was following an artist on another site, and he posted about getting a Tumblr, found what he posted delightfully amusing, and so I ended up making a profile. 6. What or who has had the biggest influence in your life? Hmm, that's really hard to say. I'd like to say my dad for always supporting me, and my mom for always helping me. The internet and science in general has also had a huge impact on my life. 7. What’s your favorite pizza topping? Buffalo chicken or veggies =P 8. Describe a happy memory. I always think of the time we got 3 ft of snow, as tall as I was then as a kid, and how much fun I had playing in the snow :3 9. Which dish would you most likely make if you had company over? I'd make some sort of pasta dish, perhaps elbows with ground turkey, peppers, zucchini, onion, red sauce, with choice of mozzarella and parmesan cheese. Served with Chianti ;) 10. If you could make a career out of anything, what would it be? Taking care of pandas!! ;DD 11. Which is the most universal human characteristic: fear or laziness? (5 friendship points to those who know which movie this question is from) Hmm an interesting conundrum! Universally human, I'd have to go with fear. From what I understand of the question, fear is often seen as an animalistic trait whereas laziness would appear to be a more human phenomenon, but I think I disagree with that. I think animals can be just as lazy as humans. In fact, I think humans often make a problem too complicated, thus making us too active. For example, paying for education to work a job that you don't have the free time to spend the money on what you do enjoy :P One can easily skip the middle man and simply do what you enjoy, and/or what's neccessary, much like an animal would do. You expend far less energy that way. Going back to fear, I think humans deal with fear all the time, whether it be fearing what someone else will think or do, or fearing making that next step in your life, and etc. Fear not only keeps us in check, but also drives us as a species. I believe it to be somewhat necessary for progress, whereas laziness isn't. (Dawwr, I haven't seen that movie >o< I'll have to watch it.)

A Little Life Update

So for those of you who don't know, back in the beginning of December, I went to visit my boyfriend for a week and a half. It was a whopping 5+16 hr drive (I stayed with a friend overnight after the 5 hr drive, before setting off for the long one)! It was literally one of the happiest moments of my life to be with him ^_______^ Here are some photos:

He says I was giving the camera "bedroom eyes" in this pic. What does that even mean?! >/w/<

And this was my present to him (printer not included xD). I gave him the panda when I first arrived x3 And then halfway through my being there, I decided to surprise him with a rose after he was done taking his finals <3 He said it was one of his favorite moments during my trip there!

We talk pretty much everyday, whether it's over text, skype, or phone, and every moment is amazing. I'm actually trying to make things happen so that I'm able to move there. Sounds kinda crazy, huh? But, I'm done with college, have my degree, and his area happens to have a ton of good jobs that are right up my alley, as opposed to being stuck here. Not to mention that it's so much less costly to live there than here. I'm so ready to be happy, even if it takes a lot of courage and hard work. Bring it on! ;D

Anyways, just thought y'all should know a bit of me behind the blogger. Feel free to send anything you wanna talk about to my ask box, I'll totally listen! :) Thanks for reading, guys and gals!
