Eri tugged at her grandfather’s sleeve, holding up her favorite children’s book about Rapunzel. Normally, she wouldn’t enter his quarters, especially when he had people there to discuss with about who knows what. It seemed as if he wasn’t busy, though, so she figured maybe this time would be okay. “Ojii-san, storytime...?”

“P-Pops.” Chisaki’s composure flinches for a moment, the briefest glint of wide golden eyes before he quickly regains control. “... Ojii-san (@bxss-man​)...” Her gaze stayed fixated on the ground as she hugged her old rabbit toy tightly close to her body. From what she was told by Overhaul, her mother had abandoned her because she was a cursed child that killed her own father. Deep down, she didn’t want to believe it. Overhaul’s words were toxic to begin with, so maybe it isn’t true at all, but...

“Will I.. ever get to see Mama again?” Still, she couldn’t help but think.

Finally. Help finally arrived. She’s still heartbroken, still sobbing up a storm, but at least when it comes to Ojii-san, she’d always have this feeling that things are gonna sort themselves and be okay.
