When Anakin asks Rex if anything is wrong and Rex says no, Anakin narrows his eyes at him suspiciously but doesn’t say anything more. 

This implies that 1) Anakin is getting THAT CLOSE to the point in his life where he doesn’t trust anyone, including his most trusted captain and 2) Rex doesn’t want to tell Jedi, including Anakin, anything anymore because of events like Umbara and the death of Fives which have been caused by trusting Jedi which lead to the slaughter of more clones
