That's the scene where Mike admits he's being an asshole, explains he hasn't been doing well since Will left because he knows his friends are great but without Will, home doesnt feel like home. Hawkins is just not the same if Will is not there. Mike— that never admits when he's wrong— is apologizing in this scene and they have an actual conversation, they are a together again, after all the time they spent apart. I just love that scene so much, the way they are looking at each other, the light coming from the window and making Will shine? Aghhhh I love it. And it's so awkward in a way that makes it so endearing to me like yes exactly these are two teenagers that missed each other and you can tell by the way they are acting, happy and nervous to be near again 😪

This one I wrote in early january when I was watching titanic w my mom in the middle of the night, it was very very late lol and this is what I wrote in my notes

His father died and at age 18, the family's reputation has fallen on his shoulders. Mike has been best friends with William, the youngest son of the hopper-byers family. They always do everything together, being inseparable since he can remember. They grew up together and the innocent touches started becoming something else with time, what started as just hands holding, became a kiss. It became hiding behind closed doors, inside the big library at mike's house that was always empty if it werent foe the two of them. Holding each other close, wishing things could be different, wishing mike wasn't about to be engaged. It wasn't fair to her. To jane. Which he had known for a few years now. James Hopper wanted them all to meet up and spend some time together. He didn’t say anything else but Mike knew what "meeting up with the family during the trip” meant. Marriage. And Will knew too.
So basically a "mike is supposed to marry jane and propose once the titanic arrives in new york, but him and will use all their time on the titanic to be together and do what they want, not knowing it will literally be the last time they spend together" which is pretty depressing idk what I was thinking 😭😭😭 i even made a pinterest board and everything and just never continued it
Also I have like no idea if any of these terms are correct, english is not my first language and yeah it was like 2am lmao

So I feel like something bad will definitely happen during stacey's party. Either they get drunk and kiss and fight, will telling mike he can't keep doing whatever they have been doing, or maybe max clocks them the second she learns about "will's secret bf", or will confesses the reason why he can't kiss mike and mike doesn't know what to say, or will telling him why he cried; so many things could go wrong at this point in the story and I've been stressedddd ever since the hickies chapter so I'm ready for the angst I guess
