About what the Duffers said about Byler and Will's arc...
I'm having a lot of Byler hope recently, but the articles really give me doubt 😭
I mean, they said it's good representation and that it's empowering for queer ppl to see Will's coming out and that his "crush" is unrequited...
Dude, no gay person watching this is like: "I love that Will's crush is one-sided and that he's the only main character never experiencing love! That gives me the lesson that gay crushes never work out!"
Like, if it were to become endgame in the finale, why would they say shit like that? That's just stupid.
They're two straight, white men in their 40's, who don't know anything about the experience young queer ppl have!!! That's not empowering, or an important lesson, that's just the reminder that gay ppl can't have a requited crush. (Unless it's a gay show, ofc)
"A show about outcasts"
A show about outcasts... then why doesn't the GAY main character (like, the biggest outcast in the 80's) have a happy ending with his "crush" he's had for YEARS? Why does he need to "learn the lesson" that queer, requited crushes aren't realistic? Why does it have to be the only gay (mlm) character in the show??? Isn't Steve's unrequited crush on Nancy enough? Or Dustin's crushes at Max and Nancy?
What do you guys think? Doesn't he deserve more than just a stupid epilogue boyfriend?
Not to mention, that if Byler becomes canon in the end, it's not gonna be as good as it could've been, if we got Byler scenes and a better coming-out scene in Vol 2. I mean, I get it, it's supposed to be a plot twist, but I mean... It's not that good writing if you ask me.
THIS ARTICLE YESS
Stranger Things season 5 can make LGBTQ+ history by bringing Mike and Will's story to a logically romantic conclusion.
Is she really getting mad that mike and will are standing next to each other in a Roblox game.
I will always love this detail <3
I’m sorry but this is just to funny😂😭
why has no one talked about this. I love this man!
Even my sister said if this isn’t a sign then I don’t know what is and she didn’t even watch the tv show.
