Amélie’s lips quirked in what might have been a little smile. “Perhaps.” Her hand came up, but she held out her palm rather than take the drink. “Carry it for me. Let me take my poles and skis to the warming house.”
“Could say please,” Lena snarked, but she pushed the gate open before picking up her own cup, and nudged it closed once Amélie was through.
“Fine,” Amélie said as she began to ski more sedately towards the house. “Please let me put my skis away.”
Lena was so caught off guard by the joke that she couldn’t stop herself from laughing as she jogged to keep up.
Inspired by @redcap3‘s “Gay Twist With A Backside Thing”. Props to Rhitta as well since it was written for her! This was one of the fics I was reading a lot while I was on holiday. So good!
Hey 👋 I imagine you have a lot of Of Gods and Monsters already planned out if not already written, but I was wondering if you have any plans to include Hammond in upcoming chapters? He’s not my favorite character but it feels like including him would lead to interesting situations, the inevitable comparison to Winston and Lena getting very upset at someone as she feels like they’re trying to replace him
Thanks for the question!I think it’s fair to say that both I and @redcap3/bzarcher think Hammond is terrible, terrible lore. While I won’t rule out anything, we think that his addition to the canon was a bad decision.We would be making any decisions about Of Gods and Monsters canon appropriately.

Whiskey Sour

2 oz. bourbon2/3 oz.
lemon juice1 tsp.
superfine sugar
Shake bourbon, lemon juice, and sugar with ice, then strain into a Sour or Collins glass. A single cherry or slice of lemon is traditional for garnish. (Anyone who insists on both deserves whatever else happens to them.)

depending on who i’m with, it’s either imitation/parroting or cracking very good/absolutely terrible jokes unexpectedly in the middle of a conversation. (bonus points if it’s not a conversation that included me in the first place.)

Zarya: How do you bounce back from difficult situations?
crying helps! also writing with pen and paper, especially if i write about my feelings and/or write poetry. (those poems usually end up being absolutely killer, haha.) after the initial crying period, i’m mostly stable, but i spend a lot of time introspecting, staring into space, and having a terrible time concentrating on work. depending on how bad the difficult situation is, i might also be prone to random bursts of tears.
given a day or two, i’ll be back to actually doing things, though. not well, but i’ll be doing them.
