You could practically feel the stare; sure enough, as you turned your head towards your partner, he was looking at you as if he had never seen you before.

You straightened up, stretching after being bent over the potato garden for hours. The snow was lightly melting, and you knew that Technoblade enjoyed the moments of sunshine that broke the monotony of snowy tundra.

Collecting the harvested potatoes, you still could feel Techno watching you.

“It’s impolite to stare you know.”

“Art is meant to be looked at.”

Slightly scoffing at the complimentary pickup line, you threw a clump of dirt at your partner. “That was cheesy and you know it.”

Technoblade smiled, getting up and walking over to you. When he reached your side, he held your face in his hands, his thumbs gently running over your cheeks. “Maybe, but you are absolutely gorgeous.”

Technoblade placed a kiss on your forehead before turning and taking his basket of seedling potatoes back towards the house. Collecting up your materials as well, you followed his footsteps.

Just as you were coming around the corner, however, you saw Technoblade standing, his sword drawn. Hearing your footsteps as you approached he held his hand out, warning you to stay back, but you were not so easily wavered. Looking over Techno’s shoulder, you saw what the threat was:

your ex.

More specifically, DreamXD. You two had once had an on again, off again type of relationship, mostly full of grand gifts and excessive flirting on your ex’s part. Eventually you got tired of it and moved on, and later you were rewarded with the love of your life.

But DreamXD was a jealous god, and he had a hard time letting you go. He used to try to win you back, swinging wildly between lavish gifts and intense threats. You knew at the end of the day, however, that he would never lay a hand on you. You both were wise enough to know that no one ever won in a war between gods.

Eventually, you did tire of the constant unwelcome attention, so you moved into the mortal realm. And that was how you met Technoblade and eventually fell in love.

But now DreamXD was here again, determined to ruin the peace. Rolling your eyes, you walked by Techno, arms crossing over your chest as you stopped in front of DreamXD.

“Y/n.” His voice was smooth and echoey this time, the one he used when he wanted to fit in with mortals.

“DreamXD. What are you doing here?”

The god titled his head, playing up innocence. “It’s been a while Y/n, can’t I come see you?”

Scoffing, you shook your head in return. “We both know you don’t just ‘come to see’ people. Please don’t tell me you want me to come back to you again.”

DreamXD paused a moment, considering your words. “You really don’t miss what we had, what we were?”

“No. No DreamXD, I don’t miss you.”

He didn’t respond; he simply stood there and stared at you. He shifted his gaze behind you, looking at Technoblade.

“You fell in love with a mortal.”

You felt Technoblade get closer to you, his sword still drawn in case you needed protection. You smiled despite yourself, trying to appear as neutral as possible. “I did.”

DreamXD nodded again, but he seemed distant, like he was thinking about something entirely different. “These mortals, they do have a strange charm to them, do they not.”

Just as he said those words, a figure came crashing through the tree line. Clad in blue with large, white-rimmed glasses, they approached DreamXD casually.

“Where have you been? You said you were going to help me?” The crisp accent came through, the person impatiently looking at the god.

You watched as DreamXD’s entire body language changed, his attention solely on this one person. You saw him become possessive and obsessive, and you recognized that this must be the “strange charm” DreamXD had just been talking about.

The newcomer started walking away, and DreamXD followed after. Looking back one last time, he nodded, a sign of farewell to you. As the pair disappeared into the distance, you took a deep breath and turned to look at your partner. Wrapping your arms around his neck, Technoblade pulled you in close, touching your foreheads together.

“What the heck was that Y/n?”

“Oh, that was my ex, sorry about that.”

Technoblade blinked a couple times, trying to process this information. “The god of this server is your ex???”

You pressed a kiss to his lips before letting go and walking back to the house, grabbing the potatoes you had previously abandoned. “Don’t worry, he’s just an ex, that’s all.”

Technoblade found it odd when you weren't in your house, which was located about 500 blocks from his. You had promised him you'd help him with planting a new bunch of potatoes in his third garden. So he searched in your armour room, which you would be sometimes, usually making new armour just incase a war broke out. You were quite advanced in armoury, as you had been taught at a young age. That was one of the main reasons you were sought out to join the syndicate. Not only that, but your neutral opinion on governments. As long as you were left in peace, you wouldn't take down a government, but if said government disturbed your peaceful life, you'd help in some way to bring it down. At first, Technoblade wouldn't talk to you unless it involved anything about armour or tools. But over time, he slowly started trusting you and taking to you more, as well as asking you to help him with his garden. After about 7 months, he considered you a friend. He couldn't find you anywhere in your house, but as he went into your kitchen, he found a note on your table. "If your trying to find [name], their with me. And unless you come to Las Nevadas for a rematch, they'll loose all their canon lives. Make your choice Technoblade, because i won't wait forever. -Quackity".

As he neared the end of the note, the voices began demanding Quackity's head, While some of the other voices were worried for your well-being. As he finished reading the note, more of the voices started demanding Quackity's head. The louder the voices grew, the harder he found it to control his anger. Yes he retired, but quackity had taking someone that he shown compassion to. He placed the note down and started making his way back to his house. Once he arrived, he opened his ender chest, and equipped his axe, grabbed a few potions of healing and regeneration and put on his armour. His door opened, and Phil stepped in. "Mate, where are you going?" He said as he neared his old friend, Technoblade. "Quackity wanted a rematch, and instead of asking straight up, he took [name], as leverage, I'm assuming." He replied, as he got up and walked towards the coat rack, where his coat and his mask were. "Mate, are you sure it isn't a trap? You settled your score with him last time. And he wouldn't risk loosing another life, would he?" Phil mumbled, more to himself then technoblade. "It doesn't matter if it's a trap or not Phil, he knows what leverage does to people, and he'd be the only one in the server that would ask for a rematch. If worse comes to worse, I'll ask you to come and help me." He spoke, after a few seconds. And with that, he got on Carl before Phil could reply to him, and rode towards the coordinates which was on the note.

Once he neared the coordinates, he stopped, and tied Carl up to a tree, out of site. He got his axe out, and walked the rest of the way to the coordinates. Once he arrived, he saw quackity with full netherite armour on, and you, with lava below you. "Let's just get to the point. If you drop all your armour, and weapons, I'll let [name] go, and they won't get harmed. If you don't, they get dropped into the lava below them." He said, once he saw technoblade. "After that, you'll return to the prison, and I'll let [name] leave entirely. Do not try any funny business, because I've got Sam waiting 700 blocks away, and he's got full netherite armour as well." He continued, not waiting for technoblade to reply to his last statement. "So you ask for a rematch, then you threaten to harm someone who has nothing to do with this? That's kinda lame don't you think?" He replied, sarcastically. A few seconds pasted, before he reached for his axe and Quackity in the shoulder. "Fuck- you've fucked up Technoblade." He said, while backing up from technoblade and drinking a potion of healing. "SAM, PULL THE LEVER" He yelled, while pulling out his sword. Not long after that, the cobblestone floor beneath you started to disappear and the lava started to become obvious underneath you. "Well fuck this isn't gonna end well" you said as you went towards the edge of the floor, ignoring the fighting that was happening around you.

Just as the floor was about to entirely disappear, someone threw you a totem or undying, which you caught in a matter of seconds. "You better hope that you die a quick death quackity, because I'll personally torture you to death if your dying to me." Technoblade said as he removed his axe from Quackity's throat, which has been there a few seconds prior. "Leave me be, and leave them as well. And if i see you one more time, you'll be killed for sure." He continued speaking, as he stood up entirely and put his axe away.

You took a day to yourself, thankful you disabled all alarms last night as you felt the sunshine on your face between the gaps between the curtains.

The breeze was slowly drifting through the shared room between you and your boyfriend. You found it refreshing, not any colder than the empty other side of the bed. He was working, you figured, usually, you would both wake up together, and inform each other of your plans for the day, but today was different, he wasn’t around; when you couldn’t find him anywhere around the house you decided to go on with your plans, assuming he would be gone for a little while at least.

You picked up a few of the flowers surrounding you, choosing the prettiest to take home with you. 

He ran around the property frantically, his eyes were sharp, and practically every hair on his body was standing up. He had been on edge since he got up this morning to find you still asleep, afraid anything would happen while he was completing any given daily task, so one could only imagine the dread that sunk his stomach the second he tried to check up on you only to find an empty bed. He looked everywhere around the house, the yard, even the farm, he had flipped every inch of his land upside down to find you not leaving any stones unturned. What he failed to remember was you gushing about some places you’d like to take him, claiming the beautiful spots would hold more value when you were together, never once crossing his mind you could be taking yourself for a little stroll, it was boring for you to sit around and wait for him sometimes after all. 

Once he realized where you could be it felt like an actual light bulb had just gone off above his head, spinning just enough to make him feel dizzy and stupid for being so panicked just a few moments ago. He took his best guess and began his journey to your favorite spot. While the features of his face had softened, now in a more hopeful look, wishing to find you as soon as possible, his steps never slowed, his walking was just as frantic as it was when he first saw you were missing. 

His theory was proven right when once he saw your figure in the field, back against the tree as you hummed to an unfamiliar tune. He wanted to walk up to you, act all big bad and intimidating but how could he ever allow himself to ruin such a peaceful moment, you were in the distance, looking beautiful as ever, your hair was flowing through the wind as you tucked a few strands behind your ear, never noticing him standing there admiring from afar. He sighed, feeling relieved and content now that you were in his sight and he was sure of your safety. Talking some slow steps forward, he made his way toward you, his footsteps barely audible, he didn’t want to disturb you when you were in your own little world. 

“Hi pretty” his shadow covered your body, shoulders strategically straightened to shield your face from the sun so you wouldn’t have to squint or strain your eyes to look at him.  

“Hey” you didn’t look up from the flower crown in your hands, only smiling at the sound of his voice. The grass parted where his body lowered down next to yours, close enough to brush up against your shoulder as he focused on the way your hands weaved the crown stem after stem.

You paused for a second, deciding the space between you was too big, needing to feel him closer to you. Shifting your legs from their crossed position you laid them across his lap, resting your head down on his shoulder. He looked over at you, stretching an arm around your shoulders as he too wanted you closer. 

With a few final knots, you finished your crown, the silence was now officially allowed to end as you were no longer focusing on your crafting. You pulled away, holding your prized item in front of his face, smiling at your creation. “Look!” you began your conversation, “aren’t these flowers so pretty, isn’t this place so perfect, I love it here.” you rambled, finally getting the chance to talk to him for the first time that day. He smiled, not a big grand smile, but he had that lovesick look in his eyes, he couldn’t help but smile, for a moment he looked at you like you were the most precious thing in the universe, and you could feel your heart skip a few beats at this action. 

“Yeah,” he nodded “it is really pretty out here, you think we should come more often?” 

You leaned back on the tree, looking up at the branches that were in the way of your view of the clouds; he followed, but instead of looking up he looked at you, awaiting an answer. 

“We should” you granted his reply, eyes never leaving the intricate string of twigs above you.

You watched the sky as the clouds turned from white to a slightly pink color, the sun in a hurry to leave your horizon. He realized it too, checking his watch he stood up, offering you a hand to go with him. “What?” you only furrowed your brows at him, not understanding why he would miss out on the most beautiful time of the day. “Come up, I would like to try something.” You cracked up a bit, taunting his formality. But, he didn’t seem to mind, in fact, he was quite aware it would make you laugh. 

You took his hand, allowing him to pull you up, “Now what?” “Shush,” he cut your complaints short, “Just, follow me.” 

He took a few steps forward getting out of the trees way, dragging you down to the middle of the vast land, surrounded by nothing but pretty flowers and the purple-pink hues above. 

He took your hands in his, placing yours on his shoulders as he placed his on your waist. You caught on to his antics at this point, only nestling your head in the crook of his neck as he pulled you closer, a firm hand resting on your midback as he pushed your chests together, the other took your hand in his, extending it to just the perfect distance between you. He took the first step, and you followed, the dance was nothing too complicated, a simple tango he had taught you a while ago, proud that you still remembered all the steps. You pulled your head back, admiring the way he was so composed, every move he made was calculated yet so elegant, his body moved with yours as his hair moved with the wind. The last remaining rays of the sun created a halo around him, in that moment he was entirely breathtaking. 

The dance had to come to an end eventually, bringing you to just stay still in the moment, your body still against his you just stood and admired each other. He leaned down to your head level, pressing a gentle kiss along your jaw, then moved down to leave an even lighter one on your neck, so soft you probably wouldn’t even feel it if you weren’t paying attention. You held his head down, your palm lightly resting on the back of his neck, and he stayed there arms wrapping tightly around you as he inhaled deeply. You did the same, your body impossibly close to his. Swaying side to side slowly he sank deeper into your touch. 

“I l-word you,” he said, labored, the way a child would apologize after a fight with their friend. You took no offense to his tone, you barely even took notice, his monotonous habit had made you miss a joke on more than one occasion. Verbally claiming was never his strong suit, he always chose to show you how much he truly loved you, you understood this, but decided you were still gonna joke about how scared he was when it came to expressing his affection using words. 

“L-word? Am I that bad of a girlfriend?” you slapped his shoulder softly, indicating to him you didn’t actually expect him to say it yet, just that you found it funny. “Hush,” he said snuggling further in your hair. You giggled at his behavior, the oh-so intimidating Technblade was in front of you, unable to say how he feels like you were a middle school crush, and then proceeded to hide his face in your hair. “Who knew even the blood god could be a simp-” “Shut upppp” his muffled voice sounded from his hair-covered face. You ran your fingers down his arms, pushing him away from you to look at him. He scrunched his face up, not happy with your decision but you didn’t really pay any mind to it, seeing his face was more important than the expression said face had pulled at you. “In that case, Techno The Blade 3rd, God of the blood,” he placed a hand over your mouth, cringing at the words, but you were quick to pull it away and continue your speech,

 “I ‘l-word’ you too… I guess.” 

“What.” he squinted at your last words.

 “Huh?” playing dumb you played it off as him mishearing, even though you knew he had perfect hearing. “Whatever,” he placed an arm around your shoulders as he began his walk back home, taking you with him “I could just take it back you know?” he shrugged. “Yeah but, you won't.” you grinned up at him. He didn’t respond, only shaking his head and continuing to walk forward. 

You arrived home in way less time than it took you to get there in the morning. By now the sun was fully set, the stars shining bright as ever as you sat on the porch steps, grateful for the view. 

“We should head inside hm? It’s getting kinda cold, you’ll get sick?” He ran his hand up and down your upper arm quickly, creating some friction to warm you up, but you were too caught up in your sight to mind the cold biting at every exposed patch of skin on your body. 

“You go ahead,” you said “I’ll be in in a few.” He sighed, knowing you, he knew you could spend hours just lost in your thoughts, so he walked away leaving you by yourself for a minute. The doorway creaked open as he stepped out, carrying his large cape in place of a blanket, placing it on your shoulders, he wrapped the sides around you and then made his way back inside.

His scent was now occupying your every sense, the warmth and the smell of him combined got you up and in the house, looking for where he might be. 

The kitchen was your first and final guess as you walked in to watch him pour the remaining bits of boiling water into two mugs, the herbal aroma floating around the kitchen, giving you all the clues you needed to figure out he was making his favorite tea, the one you had felt such strong hatred for when you first heard it was his favorite, was now starting to grow on you like he had left an imprint on your critical thinking. 

You took a seat on the counter, enjoying your tea while he rummaged through the cupboards, deciding on what to eat the following morning. He made up his mind, his attention now fully on you as he took his designated spot to stand between your dangling legs. 

He placed his hands on your thighs as a response when you draped yours around his neck, tapping your foreheads together you closed your eyes and smiled at the gesture. He lifted his head off yours, snapping you out of whatever trance you were in, his face still a mere fraction of an inch away from yours. 

“Can I kiss you?” he looked at your eyes, then down to your lips, and up again. 

“Do you really have to ask?” he barely let you finish your sentence before he put his lips on yours, just as delicate as they always were, but you didn’t need anything more, you wouldn’t have it any other way.

It's the middle of the night, and you're writing letters to Phil, who sent you a birthday card. You wanted to show your gartitude, so in return for his heartfelt card to you, you write a heartfelt letter in response.

All of a sudden, you hear a knock at the door. Who would be here this late?

You open the door and are greeted by a seemingly very exhausted technoblade. Pink strands falling out of his loose braid, but he's still wearing his fancy cape.

"Techno-"

"Can i take you somewhere?"

You're a bit taken aback, you thought your boyfriend would be too busy with battle plans to see you on your birthday.

You weren't upset by thinking that you wouldn't see him on your special day, you had always faced everything together and knew how busy he was, but it still stung your heart knowing you wouldn't see him.

But nevertheless, here he was.

You nod, slightly confused by the gesture. You weren't wearing anything nice, unlike him, just your usual renaissance-era blouse and flowy skirt.

He takes you by the hand, leading you onto his horse.

After many miles of travel, he slows down and asks,

"Okay, you have to close your eyes until i say. Just trust me."

You follow the orders, not opening even for a peek, despite your curiosity. He slowly leads you into some sort of building.

"Alright, you can open your eyes."

As your eyes flutter open, you're surrounded by warm lighting, and what looks to be thousands of stars.

"Oh my goodness... since when was there a planetarium?!" You say, absolutely endeared by all of the stars around you.

He smiles.

"I had foolish build it for us... I wanted to have something special to give you for your birthday."

You meet his eyes, realizing that's what he had been busy with all day.

You had mentioned offhandedly many months ago how you always loved to look at the stars, but you didn't think he would go this far to make that dream come true for you.

He finally speaks again, grasping your attention:

"May i?"

He holds out his hand, as a record starts to play light classical music.

You gladly take his hand, softly swaying to the music.

"Happy birthday my love."

"I- i didn't think you remembered.."

You trailed off, gazing longingly into his eyes. He doesn't look hurt, he simply smiles at you as you both dance together.

"You had said your dream was to dance under the stars. I really would do anything for you, you are the only person that makes me feel whole. I wouldn't trade that for anything."

This sentiment makes you blush, he was never a big guy on sappy sentimental compliments, but when he would, it always came from the heart.

"I will always cherish you. I've never... I've never felt this way about someone before. I've never met someone who I feel like I can live for, someone who I base all of my decisions around, someone that makes me feel the way you do."

You nearly started to tear up.

You sniffle a little, then pull him into a kiss, closing the little distance between the two of you. The kiss is sweet, it was like you could stay there forever. It was your own personal heaven.

He was your comfort. Every pulsation of your heart was for him. Every breath was for him. Every laugh, every blush, everything.

It was all for him.

All of the nights you stayed up in worry, all of the concerned letters to his colleagues in the war, it had all become worth it. He had made them worth it.

As you pull away, he bows his head so it's touching yours, pulling you in close.

"I love you, Y/N."

"I love you too, techno."

the soft crackle of the fireplace was soothing to your ears and so was the gentle classical music in the background, sharp whistles of the snowstorm outside your cabin window nearly lulling you to sleep.

techno sat between your legs, cheek resting against your knee and thigh while you brushed out his long pink hair, detangling the knots and pulling out leaves and twigs that somehow got stuck somehow; the feel of techno gently breathing against your skin made you smile to yourself gently.

days when you two were snowed in was always peaceful, finally having an excuse to cuddle near the fireplace with warm mugs of tea and hot coco being steaming right next to you two, techno's large blood velvet colored cape drapped over your smaller frame.

"you've been playing with my hair for hours." the piglin spoke in a monotone grunt, twisting around to stare up at you with clear fondness. the dimly lit living room lit up his battle scarred face, the two small tusks sticking out in the corners of his mouth glinting whenever the flames shined on the ring that rested on one of the tusks. "well your hair is a birds nest." you replied in a giggle which earned you a scoff from techno, his hands moving to grab you and pull you down onto the wooden floor of the cabin that was currently covered in different animal furs.

"don't insult me small one." techno grunted out in mock sterness, nuzzling his face into the crook of your neck with a animalistic grunt that sounded more like an approving growl. he was more animal than man sometimes, well more piglin than human.

with his arms holding you tightly against his chest you knew techno wasn't going to let you go anytime soon, the thought warmed your heart and made you smile as you nestled down into the soft furs and allowed techno's warmth to wrap you up in a comforting bubble, the deep vibrations of techno humming a gentle lullaby and the dying crackles of the fireplace sending you into a peaceful slumber, the last thing you feel is techno's lip pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead.
