He loved having Poppy stay with him, he really did, but it meant that his apartment was no longer the sanctuary of mental silence he had intended it to be. She was there, and so were her thoughts, just as chaotic and frenetic as his. She had been through so much recently that he couldn't bare to tell her about how loud her mind was. So he slunk away to the Starlight Bar before opening and set himself up at the bar with a whiskey and his book well before opening so no one would be there for his magic to reach towards. Silence. Until he heard familiar footsteps approaching and the itch of a familiar mind. "Didn't expect to see you here." He said, turning to face his sister.

It was already late when Leon decided to pay Briar a visit at her pet shop. Probably closing time already. She should still be in her shop, at least he thought so. The front door was unlocked as the tall man pushed the door open. His hands rested in the pockets of his jeans, since it was pretty cold outside. Everything seemed empty, but the lights still burned and he heard some rummaging in the back f the shop. "Hello?"
