Thalia thought about Agnes’s offer after their last interaction. She figured it wouldn’t hurt to learn as much as she could from the school and its professors before she took off. She wasn’t planning to stay there for long, but she didn’t have an exact length of time in mind. Thalia took a deep breath and headed towards the banshee’s office. She stood outside the open door for a moment. She’d rarely asked for help or for someone to teach her, especially not in a formal setting like this. All the magic she’d learned was on the streets and in back alleys in Italy. “Is the offer still on the table?” Thalia asked.
