The two fandoms i spend the most time in are definitely atla and httyd.

So i compare the differences a lot and love how the httyd fandom is like "i know this character committed atrocities but i love them anyway, here is an essay about how much i love them actually"

Meanwhile atla fandom is like "here is an essay about how horrible and disgusting this character is, yeah i know they are a traumatized child who doesn't know better, that's not an exuse"

Like you guys really need to chill out, the only character i never saw being absolutely dragged through mud is Toph.

Take some notes from the httyd fans, Dagur literally killed his sister's adoptive family and we all collectively decided we are ignoring that lmao.

Every single time you mention that a character canonically did something morally questionable it gets countered with a simple "i mean they are vikings duhh"
