welcome to my goofy-ass blog :) i've been a D&P fan since around 2017 (their Undertale series was my gateway drug), and i've been super enjoying the comeback era. There was a brief period there for a few years where i thought i was too "cool" for the stuff i loved as a teen (objectively incorrect), but as i've come to rediscover, my taste in media is flawless and "cringe" is actually based.

as an easily-startled hermit crab of a guy, i've been trying to break out of my lurker shell and finally engage with the funniest fanbase i've ever been a part of (or adjacent to). by god you people are dogs. but i'll be damned if you're not hilarious. never change, phreaks <3

on a mildly realer note, it's been incredibly meaningful for me as an acespec guy and token transmasc D&P enjoyer to be a part of a fanbase that's so ubiquitously queer. and now that everyone has grown up a little (a lot) and found their chill, now seems like as good a time as ever to poke out my head and indulge in a little whimsy.

i had a lot of fun with these! phil's is a camera, pretty straightforward since he's always been interested in filmmaking of some kind. dan's was trickier, i knew it had to revolve around performing on stage but still be vague enough to translate to internet fame lol. the stereotypical drama/acting cutie mark is usually like theater masks, so i played with that and gave him stars with happy and sad faces. which could also represent his audience, his mental health journey, you name it this man contains multitudes.

they both have the same big star in the back. because YEAH their cutie marks match a little bit you know they would!! their soulmateism is so strong of course they would get matching cutie marks before even meeting each other, and it's vague enough that it could be a coincidence but when they're side by side it's clear to everyone that it's not. a cutie mark is not only a pony’s special talent but their purpose in life, and these two are so inextricably linked in their lives and careers that i think their marks would have to represent that in some way. the stars kind of represent their fame as well. am i a genius or am i a fucking genius
