[SOL] Deal Struck Over Citadel Fleet, Patrol
via The Wards Courier An agreement has been found in the matter of dispute between the Citadel Fleet and Citadel Security Services’ Patrol. New channels of communication and cooperation are to be established between C-Sec Patrol and the Systems Alliance Navy, to allow search and rescue and limited pursuit force operations without hindrance around the station’s immediate surroundings. Patrol’s pirate interdiction and smuggling prevention force will be based off of Citadel station, merging it essentially with the Citadel Fleet’s own security operations. Citadel Fleet’s powers were also agreed, to put a clear limit on the station garrison’s fleet size, but also affirming its right to be present in Sol. Other squadrons of the Fleet will be based around current anchorages across Citadel space, committed to anti-piracy operations with the to-be merged Patrol cutters and frigates. The agreement has been praised by both the Systems Alliance council of advisors and the Citadel Council as a “long due and welcome resolution”, and has been met with general approval by station residents as well in social media circles. The Committee For Returning To Widow Nebula offered modest congratulations for the agreement, but remained ardent in their hopes for their favoured solution of returning Citadel station to its original site.
