Just checked. Yup, I'm still grossed out by C. B. Cebulski's reward of continuing work in comics. And now head Marvel Asia.

I am swiftly starting to feel that X-Men really did only exist from 1963 - 2024. Nothing is making sense with this company anymore.

If anyone's curious about the C.B. Cebulski thing, he spent part of the 2000s writing under the pen-name "Akira Yoshida." Cebulski is, by all accounts, a white American, and not Japanese, although he has lived in the country and apparently speaks the language. Yoshida had a separate backstory and Cebulski also gave interviews and writer's commentary as the Yoshida character. Several of Yoshida's credits at Marvel include Japanese settings or characters. There are creative and financial reasons for Cebulski to have adopted a pen-name, and even to have gone to considerable lengths to disguise this fact, but I won't comment on the business ethics of that because I don't have the full picture. After years of speculation, Cebulski came clean about the Yoshida pen-name in 2017 while negotiating his current position as Editor-in-Chief.
