Here are my notes on, thoughts about, and general liveblogs for Campaign 1, Episode 3 of Critical Role (”Strange Bedfellows.”) I really liked getting to see some characters’ powers (especially Keyleth, I’m liking her so much) and also I got to see a Vox Machina Plan in Action 😅 Naturally, there are spoilers below!

- Travis’ X-ed out sunglasses sdfghlkjsk RIP GROG

- Scanlan: “Someone, quick! Draw a dick on his face!” is lowkey Jester foreshadowing but don’t @ me 

- Wait who’s K’varn and why does that sound slightly familiar? (Update: I was thinking of Kima of Vord I think.... you say “the wolf did speak” I say “the wolf had a beak”)

- The twins being disasters who fail Religion checks and thus just looking up at the symbol and going “wow.... so pretty” is so funny sdfghjk I love them

- The Marisha and Tal cuddles/Keyleth and Percy sleeping position at like 25:05 is so freaking cute  😭

- YAY GROG’S BACK

- Sam: “Shall we tarry on, everyone?” Me, knowing A Spoiler about the future: I don’t know shall we 👀

- Awww all the gifts of pizza and ice tea and such, Critters were a giving community from the very beginning

- At first I was doubtful of this plan but you know what, this could have been so much worse

- WAIT VAX ALMOST DIED WHEN THOSE DUERGAR(???) CUT THE BRIDGE SDFGHJKL still could have gone worse though so..... win?

- That failed Wisdom save.... oof. Also Vax forgetting to add his Inspiration die to it  😭

- Keyleth is the Avatar, I’m fully convinced. Also, she’s a badass.

- Whoever this Clarota is,,,, I do not trust them at all asdfghjkl get out of there @ Vex and Keyleth!

- Grog is so excited to have the highest Insight check of the group looool I support him

The amount of planning Vox Machina goes through is a ton considering they rarely actually manage to do the plan they planned.

The looks of absolute shock and Laura’s “What?! Thank you chat room!” about being gifted pizza is amazing hahaha. I, too, can be deeply touched with unexpected gifts of food... And I think this marks the beginning of a long, long tradition of gift giving from the viewers!

Oh! I’ve finished the episode, and it wasn’t Kima we met, it was CLAROTA! I’d forgotten how they found him, and although I know he betrays them I actually have no idea how any of it goes down, so!!! That will be fun!

And Vax just killed someone to end an awkward silence his sister caused. I have a feeling everything about that is very in character.
