Today is the last day of the first week. We finished our marketing plan, and Jenny took time to review and organize our thoughts onto a word document. Jenny also created the news release with the help of our members and submitted the work to Ryan.
We got our week 2 assignments and now it is the week for Instagram! Yes! We are ahead of the game because Jenny already created the Instagram page.
UPDATE:
We saw that our Facebook currently has 37 likes, and Twitter has 26 followers! This is great progress! We expect to continue managing our company in good conditions in week 2.
Jan 31, 2014—Day 6
Today we had our official second group meeting, and the focus we had was our marketing plan for the next 25 days, and ways to further promote Parmalee. Rakka, a member of our stream team. as well as Don, our A&R Manager, worked together on Parmalee’s current situation applying a SWOT analysis. Ivy and Zoe elaborated and made it clear to our label that the main goal of our campaign is to think of ways to market and promote Parmalee to as much people as possible. In order to reach our goal, Jenny and Aye brainstormed strategic ways to reach a potential target audience through social media channels. We came down to the conclusion of incorporating two more social media channels, Instagram as well as Tumblr. We are hoping the use of the four channels, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Tumblr will help reach our goal.
Jan 30, 2014—Day 5
Great news! Today, Parmalee premiered the official lyric music video for their new single “Close Your Eyes” exclusively on radio.com. This new single is scheduled to impact Country radio on February 3. Before this, Parmalee used social media platforms to advertise and promote themselves, and had many concerts, tours, gigs featuring their more popular song, “Carolina.”
Another great news is that we've got a rise on the number of follower on Twitter! Hopefully we will start seeing the number of followers go up even more!
Jan 29, 2014—Day 4
After the Twitter and Facebook pages were set up, we've had plenty of visitors that have given attention to Parmalee on Facebook. Thanks to our members, we all took turns posting and uploading our sites. Many visitors were new to Parmalee and liked our page. However on Twitter, there were still some difficulties we were facing because none of our team were users of Twitter. It took us a while getting used to the system but we think we will soon get the hang of it. C4 MUSIC looks forward to seeing more followers and likes.
