Candyland wedding

Late Brunch or 2nd tea ~☆~ sugary winter wonderland theme, 1pm to 530pm, on a snowy day, at a cabin or game cafe (lowkey) or fancy hotel parlor (highkey). Serving thermosed-up hot drinks and tiered-cake-to-match the partners' zone choices (omnioption° cake is, a layer of plum cake, fudge cake, nutloaf cake, anise with charcoal and red licorice nibs cake, candied cherry cake, all stuccoed in fondant frosting, studded with strategically placed gumdrops and dusted with lollipop and peppermint shatter). The wedding shown here is planned on the basis of, Princess Lollipop was adopted and its like a Woody Allen thing with Queen Frostine; the king clearly lives elsewhere and is busy administratively doing something-or-other (island of Dr. Moreau shit? What is the fudge man "Gloppy"? He's got it worse than the toxic avenger). The highkey wedding option is a themed flashrave if party size is suitable; held at an impromptu (upscale/unaware) venue with the music takeover countdown cue to be: playing the game in groups at approximately the invited place/time. The-dress-is-the-board seen below character-dress concepts (the lone guestwear inspo is the omnioption° of gowns).

Thistle wedding

Teatime ~☆~ botanical theme, 12pm to 4pm, fall wedding. Cozy cabin, fancy picnic. Serving an assortment of thistle infused teas, thistle seed flour wedding cake after a thistle soup and main of milk thistle greens fried in milk thistle seed oil with fried thistle root.

Kayla + Gunter | Hudson Gardens Wedding Photos

Lucky in love, Kayla and Gunter became husband and wife on St. Patrick’s Day. It was quite the party, like all St. Patrick’s Days should be. Like marriage, however, it was so much more than that. Kayla and Gunter’s wedding day reflected them and their love at every turn. It was so fun to see them get married and celebrate with all their favorite people.

There are many things about Kayla and Gunter that struck me when I met them. They are two of the sweetest people you will ever meet. They are silly and easy to be around and they really are so much fun when they are together. The one thing that really hit me though was they have this deep and effortless love. You can see it when they steal a glance at each other while you are talking to them. You can see it when they hug and breathe in. You can feel it when they hold hands and get lost in their own world. And of course you can hear it when they talk about the other. As soon as I met them I could see their joy radiating and I was so excited to be a part of their wedding.

When the day came it was everything I imagined. Kayla was calm and sweet and ready to marry Gunter. She had been ready for a long time as this was their lucky number 7th year together. To the day, they met 7 years ago on St. Patricks day. Gunter and his boys were having a blast catching up and sending their best friend off into an awesome marriage. They had all sorts of adorable touches that spoke to them and their relationship. They guys had their favorite hockey teams as their cufflinks. The girls had monogrammed shirts and Kayla a perfectly green robe. She made her awesome Dallas Stars high heels and rocked her Colorado Avalanche garter. Can you see a theme? The two of them love Hockey and incorporated throughout the day.

This wasn’t the only thing that made the day fun, though the hockey stick entrance was pretty incredible. One of my favorite parts of the day was when they were pronounced as man and wife and everyone “sent” them off with paper airplanes flying around them. It was so original and cute. I loved the idea. It was just another clever thing that made their wedding so interesting. I have always said the reason I love weddings is the story and the people. Kayla and Gunter were the epitome of this. I loved getting to know them over the last couple months and to see them get married. They are so meant to be together and I feel so happy that I got to celebrate with them.

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Ainsworth! You don’t need luck when you have a love like yours.

Dreamtime Images: Holly and John

What was the inspiration behind the gorgeous Colorado wedding of high school sweethearts Holly and John? The Bridesview team were lucky enough to find out from the bride herself! Holly told us "I had always wanted the picturesque outdoor wedding at top a mountain. I wanted a rustic nature setting with simple elegance touches throughout.  So we picked our favorite place in Colorado and chose a rustic log cabin with an outdoor deck to have the ceremony on. The aspen leaves had just turned golden yellow and were the perfect back drop". We agree and think that Dreamtime Images did a wonderful job capturing it all! 

Holly also shared with us her advice for brides to be, based on her experience. "Something will go wrong but don't worry about it! Our cake fell completely apart while driving it up the mountain! My wedding coordinator and mother had to piece it back together and put flowers to cover all the holes! It ended up looking pretty and tasting great and no one knew. Enjoy every minute of the wedding, it goes by really fast but take a moment with your new spouse after the ceremony just the two of you. "
