DEVELOPING BREAKING THIS MORNING: Regional Internet Outage in Dumaguete City and Negros Oriental, now temporarily cuts off the other day from SkyBroadband on SkyCable [#OneNETnewsInvestigates x EXCLUSIVE]
DUMAGUETE, NEGROS ORIENTAL -- As our home station OneNETtv Channel is off-the-air early Wednesday night at MIDNIGHT (Manila local time) due to our PC Problems for over 2 hours, the newest episode on a 42nd Season of #AngProbinsyano (The Philippine TV Action & Drama)... We're signing it off by 11:50pm.
But... this happened on Thursday morning at exactly 11:25am (Manila local time). Here’s our personal audio press briefing as of 9:12am, straight from the Sky Office in Dumaguete City.
A Skycable Bais branch office has a burnt Fiber Optic cable at 11:25am until Friday at 5am onwards. The final information follows 2-3hrs. later by 7am. No suspect was around the local farmer factory in Negros Oriental for the shut off, this leaves only with a simple human error. Only the Internet in Dumaguete and Negros Oriental are affected within almost 24hrs., except the cable.
That night on Friday at exactly 7:23pm (Manila local time), Just before the Ang Probinsyano (Season 43) on the Cable and during our exclusive telecast in a 1st Mid-Season FINALE of #LesSisters on ONC... The results are severely different as official. Both of them are temporarily bogged down for a half-day simultaneously. No one was cutted the cable wires. Instead, a defective UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) has legitimately worned out overnight. There's no signal on Cable by all the channels and no internet in Dumaguete & Negros Oriental.
He was said, it's not NORECO II in a Pulantubig substation... The SkyBroadband on SkyCable Dumaguete has reportedly found an unexpected problem. UPS is using for the distributed nodes on every cable subscription user, converting from the Fiber Optic to a Coaxial cable.
However, if the UPS is indefinitely worned out... There's no internet & power supply available, which leads us to the Pulantubig linking server, are down for a half-day in Brgy. Camanjac, just before the CES (Camanjac Elementary School) and the Unfinished building of 97.7mhz DYFH-FM Radyo Bandera Sweet FM Dumaguete.
It needs more of the outlets to plug it in overnight, which is actually cause of this... They are LACKING of the accessories in stock for the laziness person of sleepyheads without the warning.
And finally the next morning after that... Both the Cable & Internet are fixed & restored for a half-day between this Saturday morning at 5am & 8:17am onwards. All cable channels are perfectly stablized this weekend in the morning today. All of them are total of 36 separate hours without the internet between this Thursday or Friday overnight and today.
We tried to text for 23662 on MySky to report the problem (via Globe Telecom), but the texter says it's declined by asking only the Smart Card or alphabetical MAC ID number with message; even the correct & incorrect ones. We also went to SkyCable Office at GAT Building in Dumaguete City... the citations in yellow slips are refused to fix the problem, which includes us in Brgy. Pulantubig.
As a result, the speed conditions are slowly stablized the issue until this Saturday morning before Lunchbreak.
A exclusive statement from @SKYServes on Twitter's DM to OneNETnews...
"Based on our records, a service interruption was reported in your area (from Bais City). Our apologies for the inconvenience this has caused you. Rest assured that this has been relayed to our service technician for repair. However, the slow browsing problem reported on your area has already been resumed yesterday."
SkyBroadband on SkyCable is part of the subsidiaries to the Lopez Holdings Corp. for the Dumaguete Branch at the GAT Bldg. in Real St. cor. San Jose St., Dumaguete, Negros Oriental.
We checked all the Cable Channels to ensure it’s all working perfect, but we’ll get to that on Sunday for the full video tomorrow. Still, we’re continuing our developing story towards to our conclusion throughout the weekend.
