Cadena is completely calm and kind until things come to a head. In fact she won't even fight back or attack until she's sure she can get a hit in - just one - that will incapacitate and end the fight. She's never been overly violent, preferring to talk things out first. This means that she's got her fair share of bumps and bruises from all the times that people haven't wanted to talk.
To quote a friend, Cadena is...well.. "aggressively virginal." That is to say, somehow she's managed to go nine sweeps without losing her V-card. In fact she's usually lucky enough that when the drones come calling she's been recently attacked and has therefore...done some rather unscrupulous things she would not admit in kind company in order to survive.
She had a really peaceful childhood actually. She spent a lot of it learning, scouring all the books she could find for knowledge. She started her garden when she was 3, and by the time she was 6 she had enough money to add on to her hive. By 8 her library was so big she had to create a new room for it.
She was always an excitable child, and eager to make new friends - but living where she does made it difficult, she didn't ever have many neighbors. So she was a little starved for attention, but happy with her lusus.
I don't think I can properly explain just how much Cadena LOVES food. I mean, we've all seen how much she loves to bake. But she loves all food. Well, most foods. She's a vegetarian, so no meat is her key thing. But she adores food to the point of overeating and being in a foodcoma for a while.
She eats like a snake, one could say - eats so much that she's almost storing it, then only eats little amounts for a few days after. She just...really likes food.
