Dique Celestino Gelsi, commonly known as "Dique el Cadillal" (Cadillal Dam)
Is a beautiful place near San Miguel de Tucuman (province’s capital), Argentina.
The dam was completed in 1965, it is 11 kilometers long by 4 kilometers wide and has a maximum depth of 67 meters.
It bears its name in honor of the former governor of Tucumán, who promoted its construction.
The dam is an artificial lake surrounded by sierras and an amazing viewpoint with bars, restaurants and even an amphitheater in the open sky.
The dam offers activities such as kayaking, fishing and swimming.
This is a perfect place to visit at dawn or early in the morning, where the temperatures are lower.
The Cadillal dam is a public and family place to spend the day and night, drinking Mate or eating typical foods.
