Authors note: lately I've been really into college AU's, so I made some headcanons to feed y'all while I work on the rest of my reqs :3
. You both met because you sent a desperate message to an entire class about needing notes, and he was the only one who answered (at two in the morning). You both met up and had a habit of cheating off of each other, which turned into a friendship.
. He fell first and hard. He had a crush on you for a while when you were just in the stage of not even a friendship but just being classmates. The way you would stifle a laugh at his awful handwriting but then joke about your own, always sit beside him to where your legs touched, and nudge him whenever he wasn't paying attention to something important. But when you really became friends, exchanging numbers and having study sessions and hanging out, that's when he really fell in love with you and your personality.
. Extra: his major is in nursing, with no minor as of now.
. You two met because he was the only other one to ever talk in discussions besides you. In a classroom full of people, only two students ever answered and you both thought it was awful. He always looked at you and rolled his eyes when the professor asked a question and nobody responded. These glances quickly became sitting next to each other, talking, texting, studying, and him asking you out.
. He fell first, definitely. He's known to speed-date sleep around some, but never get in very serious relationships. You're the first person where he really wanted to try his all to be yours. He definitely showed it as well when he first fell in love, it was after a party that you had both left from, finding it boring. He just turned next to you and outright said he loved you and would get you flowers for you to accept it lol.

. You two met because of being in the library at the same time. He was done studying but not quite ready to get his things up and go, so he was doodling in his sketchbook. You happened to pass by and see it, complimenting him and asking his name. You two talked more and more and ended up studying together
. You fell first but he fell hard. The first time he realized he really loved you was when you texted him asking to come over because your roommate's boyfriend was over, and you didn't want to deal with him, so you asked to sleep in Kakyoin's dorm. He said yes of course, and couldn't help but notice how his face grew hot and his stomach twisted slightly and sweetly when you actually came over.

. He was handing out flyers for some comic club and was so passionate about it that you couldn't just not take one. He went on an entire rant about how he wanted to be a comic artist, and it was admirable how college hadn't stolen his soul yet. You ended up going to a meeting for it just to see him because he had good energy and was an attractive guy, and you two got along well
. He fell first and hard. He is pretty flirty but it's less obvious when it's someone he genuinely loves, so you couldn't tell for a while until he officially asked you out. He fell when you started talking about the comics and other media you like, he was pretty ecstatic to find another nerd like him.

. You two met because he kept leaving dirty dishes in the communal kitchen sink lmao. One night, it was pretty late and you went down to get something to eat, drink, or really anything that would distract you. There he was, the culprit of dirty dishes, putting another one in the sink before you confronted him about it. He ended up being a pretty chill guy, just kinda lazy. Y'all got along well though, he invited you over to watch TV, play video games, or really do anything.
. He fell first and hard. He wasn't exactly planning on meeting someone in college, but he had hoped he would, and almost felt like he was going to explode from happiness when you actually agreed to come over and play Minecraft with him. He fell that first time when you came over too, appearing as way too ecstatic for just a game. (Jk I act that way over Minecraft)
Extra: he's jumped around a few different majors, but currently hes going for a major in mechanical engineering.
. You two met because he kept reserving the good study room in the library, the one in the corner with the perfect amount of lighting that wasn't too far back but just tucked away enough. You ended up seeing him walking there and inquired a little bit too loudly on why he didn't let anyone else study there. It ended in an argument, and then sneering at each other when you saw him, and then more arguments, and then playful arguments, and then just poking fun at each other with no bad intent at all.
. He fell first surprisingly. It's hard to love a jerk like him, but if you so much as tolerate him, he'll stick by your side like glue- even if he's more introverted. He didn't realize he was in love for a while, but he first fell when he realized you actually did like him for him, not for his fame or money- and on top of that- he found himself less egotistical because of you. It really reassured his love for you.

. You two met because he was an RA and was trying to bust you for having a gecko. It wasn't permitted to have small reptiles in your college, but you had secretly had it in your room for a while since RA never really came by anymore. You eventually sweet talked your way out of him snitching though, and it turned into regular conversation, and then him always being at your dorm.
. You fell first, both of you fell hard. He was a busy man with a busy schedule, and wasn't looking for love in college, so he initially dismissed the thought of him being in love with you. You had a massive crush however, and he slowly started to reciprocate it. One late night in an emotional sleep deprived state you texted him, confessing everything but saying it was okay if he didn't feel the same. The next morning though, he showed up with a small bouquet of flowers he had to pick from the college's garden.
. Extra: he has a major in juvenile justice and minor in political science.
. You started playing lecture room bingo with him for the either annoying or repetitive things your professor says. You just so happened to be sitting by him because it was a packed class and there was really no choice, and halfway through the first semester you two started a bingo game on paper.
. He fell fast and pretty hard as well. You didn't get chances to talk much out of classes because you didn't have anything else together, but before the first semester ended, he asked for your number. Honestly, as soon as he noticed that you had the same humor as him, that's when he really fell in love. The first day of the second semester is when he took you on your first date together- skipping class to get something from door dash lmao.
. Another one where he kinda skips around to see what he likes, but currently getting a minor in communications.
. You two met because you had both ordered takeout and it was taking a while, the both of you standing outside your dorms opposite of each other, in pajamas and not the most flattering state. You started talking first, complaining. This small talk ended up with you two almost always being in each others dorm rooms or walking each other to classes since they were close together.
. Honestly you both fell at the same time. She had really developed a crush seeing you that night in the hallway, you looked pretty even if you were in pajamas and sleep deprived. You thought the same of her too, but she was so much more gorgeous in your eyes. She ended up asking one night while you two were out eating if it was considered a date, and you just said yes on a whim, and it became official.
. She has a major in criminal justice and a minor in criminology.
. You two met because neither of you bought the expensive textbook you had needed for a course. There was only one copy in the library, and you chose to partner up because it couldn't leave the building. You quickly became study buddies and would frequently grab drinks and snacks together, study together, or he would show up randomly at your dorm if he was bored.
. He fell fast and hard. He was pretty immediately enamored with you after your first study session, and couldn't wait to see you again. If you were to ask him when he fell, he would say he had a gut feeling and always knew when he looked at you. After the entire first semester of studying, grabbing drinks, and flirting, he officially asked you out though.
. He has a major in mechanical engineering with a minor in environment engineering.
. You two met in the cafeteria during breakfast, because you thought you were the only one who liked the waffle station. You hadn't really seen anybody get a waffle besides him, and he striked up a conversation first. You said something funny enough for him to chuckle, and you two got along well and ended up sitting just outside the cafeteria together.
. You fell first but he fell hard. Despite his playboy nature, he finds it hard to actually trust people. The more you two talked and hung out though, he felt more comfortable around you and less like he had to put on some cool guy persona. He fell in love when that persona disappeared and he could be himself around you, and you were indifferent and liked him anyways.
. Extra: despite what you might think, he actually is going for a doctorate to be an MD (doctor of medicine).
. You two met by both giving out flyers, and honestly being pretty miserable together about it. It wasn't a very fun job, very few people took them, most just looked the other way pretending both of you didn't exist. She was better at hiding it though, all smiles. Since nobody really cared for flyers, the two of you talked for most of the time, and you worked up the courage to ask for her number.
. She fell first and you fell hard. She is pretty in tune with her emotions and is also not afraid to show them. She knew that she liked you, but you liked her even more at first. Who wouldn't, she looked like a dream and was as sweet as candy. She wouldn't say there was a time she knew she was in love, but she could tell from those few hours of handing out flyers together that she wanted to be with you.
. She has a major in associate teaching with a minor in sociology.
. You two met because her headphones were incredibly loud and not doing anything for blocking out sound on your part. You walked up to her explaining that you could hear Dua Lipa from across the room, and she apologized. But slowly throughout the classes together, y'all sat closer and closer and talked more until she asked for your number and offered to get you a drink the next time she went to the vending machine.
. You fell first and hard. She was in college for education and for her career (duh), and planned to pursue that, with no interest in a relationship. That is, until you came along. It still took quite a few months of you attempting to swoon her for her to accept it, but once she did, she really showed it. She first really fell for you after seeing that you would still pursue her after all that time, and would continue to be a friend even if she didn't want a relationship.
. Extra: she has a major in fashion design with a minor in fashion journalism.
. You two met because he was the only other one in that small corner of the library when you broke the printer. He was waiting to print something out too, and you gave him a panicked glance before stuttering out how you didn't mean to break it and how cooked you are. He totally understood though, and vowed with you to just use another printer and not tell anybody that you broke that one. It turned into talking from printing, to classes, to interests, to music, to anything really.
. You both fell at a reasonable time actually. He's never really been in a relationship before so he didn't know how to feel about loving you, and didn't realize how intense his feelings were for a while. But when he actually realized it, it was quite a while after you had met, almost at the end of the school year is when he knew for sure he loved you.
Extra: not going for anything for particular right now, but is enrolled in media and cinema studies and cultural studies.
