this is where i'd like to be now

imagine being there during the Belle Époque, when the café society in Budapest was just as wonderful as in Vienna or Paris

I loved the New York cafe (part of Boscolo hotel), and the delightful Cafe Gerbeaud- this is one of the oldest and most loved coffee houses in Budapest.

With exquisite frescoes and sparkling chandeliers, gentle piano music in the background, it feels as though you have been transported back in time.

Did the touristy thing in Budapest and had some coffee in Cafe Gerbeaud. My selection's cup was teeny tiny but so good I wish I could magically increase in size by 300%. That's the power of espresso, vanilla ice cream, and Bailey's otherwise known as Iced Caffe Bailey's.
