The faded baseball cap she smashed on her head had been her father's, one of the ones he always wore. Her ponytail hung through the back hole, swinging behind her with every moment. Getting on the transport was hard, she hated leaving just as much as she hated being left, but Max had helped her get into the school and was helping pay to send her there. Just like a father would. Her eyes were watering at just the thought of leaving him behind even if it was to go master her trade. She had to stand on her toes to wrap her arms around his neck, burying her face in his shoulder. The transport off planet was leaving soon whether she was on it or not, but she had to say goodbye. Just in case he wasn't there when she got back, in case she never saw him again. "I love you, Daddy."
