So where were we… Ah yes… This was me whenever Matt would talk about Season 8..
Again, how do my friends keep me around during these?? I'm not quiet about the bullshit either. There was a time I adored going, now? Man I don't get it. 😂😂😂
So Matt was also spewing some bullshit about how the story is about Jamie and Claire and they have to end it with them.. Dude is an idiot, when the whole season had BARELY been about them AT ALL! More so Claire who is the Outlander and yet she's just a side side side background character now! STFU Matt, you are a moron and a show killer. Even Caits face when he said that, she looked like she wanted to say something but held it in. It was crazy!
So then they showed the finale clip, which was just Jamie and Claire in bed talking about the blue vase she didn't buy and the forget me notes. It was sweet, but it was the same, old stuff. And honestly after the whole debacle of Claire having to sleep with John just because she can't cope 🙄🙄 it really changed a lot for me with Claire and Jamie's relationship. I don't blame the show for that.. Oh no that's entirely in the fact that Diana doesn't know what to write about, so puts whatever is in her head into writing. The first 3 books were great, well the end of 3 was, odd. But when they went to America it just dropped for me. That's when Diana's ego inflated and some of her diehard fans ate up whatever she spewed. That's cool, but just not for me. Like know when to end a book woman! Jesus. So we got a whole smorgasbord of nonsense. I hate, no LOATHE the John and Claire story.. HATE IT. It's fetishy and out of character for Claire. Don't come for me with she, was drunk and did nothing wrong. Blah blah blah. She did. And for people to be mad at Jamie about being upset. Wtf is wrong with you? They only think that because David Berry is gorgeous! I get it, but come on! I'm just glad the show didn't put the Hand job in there you know the platonic one, 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 Ugh ANYWAYS… I could go on forever with that ish… This is why I choose to see the first seasons when Jamie and Claires love was so powerful.
So I noticed while the clip played Sam and Cait were NOT watching it. It was odd they just kept their heads down. Usually the cast watches. But they didn't.

I was told not to film the show but I was filming them.. LOL oops..
After they answered some fan questions. Or more like evaded A LOT. I really took it as they were just over the questions and ready to move on. I did get videos of some of those as well, even one that Sam's answer made my eyes roll out of my head…. 🙄🙄🙄🙄 there were some good ones tho. Like if they ever dreamed as Claire and Jamie. Sam said he never dreams or remembers.. could be the booooze...
So after, they stood up. Huddled together and slowly walked off stage while waving, it was really odd. Not going to lie.
Did I feel sad… No. I only feel sad that the show has been changed so much it's hardly recognizable. I feel sad for such a beautiful meaningful show that is now ending with a small thump. For everyone tho I think it's really for the best it's over. I keeps seeing so many people say there will be a movie. I highly doubt that, IF they do, it will be different actors. Cait looks done. This was much better than the 92 NY event. The interviewer was very professional and articulate. That made a huge difference.
So when they got off stage, women shoved past trying to get to wherever they thought Sam would be. We left and took pictures at the front. My other friend was still trying to find them, and I was not interested, same with my friend we were ready to go. Plus they were setting up the red carpet for the Mandalorian movie! I was pumped with that!
So let me start off by saying Cait as always was so classy and also beautiful. Her outfit was 👀 but she could wear a garbage bag and make it work. You could just tell she, felt a bit pushed aside since the show is legit about her and it's anything but now. And she's THE STAR who actually came out on top! Again Matt's a fucking idiot.
So who was this Sam? Was this the real Sam? Will the real Sam please stand up? I like this guy who was there, very funny, natural, likeable, not trying to be OTT. I didn't even cringe while he spoke. He was incredibly genuine. His answers were really cute in some parts! It's funny how when he isn't shilling out his booze or selling himself he's the guy we all fell for in the beginning. Idk why he changes it up to sell this whole other persona because it's gross. Or is THAT the real Sam?? With Cait she was glad to be Claire but ready to move on. with Sam, Jamie is all he has… And that is incredibly sad… I imagine he's scared for whatever future his career holds… Because selling audio smut.. Isn't moving forward. To each their own tho.
So later my friend asks me "I wonder if Sam's Girlfriend was there?" she knows it's not something I talk about with her. I'm like " I don't know." and she giggles like she knows it irks me. OK first off, I really don't care. 2nd if she was there, she would be front and center. But this wasn't a SS event at all so I doubt she was.. I'm not sure either since I haven't seen yet if she was.. 3rd, she is NOT his girlfriend. She is a hired beard. He is a gay man contractually obligated to hide rn until Starz or Sony tells him different. Which doesn't look like anytime soon. People are so gullible and believe everything they see. When it's clear as day the man can't stand to be around her, unless Alex is the mediator. Telling right there. And she, herself is just not great. A woman who exploits her child for money while also making a lot of bad choices , isn't a catch. No matter how you look at it. His mommies will never see that tho.
And seeing how he was that night.. Did make me sad for him. Like he could truly be himself. Which is the real Sam..? Again tho his choices.
Then this morning my friend goes "I really think Sam is an alcoholic. Since he was drinking through the panel, and always has a drink in his hand. That I do agree with. He clearly has issues he has decided drinking can deal with that . Again that's all on him and his 46 YEAR OLD MAN ASS!
So LONG STORY SHORT, I am glad I went. Outlander has not only been a huge part in my life but I have got to go to a lot of places and met some great people along the, way. So even tho I hate the last season, I will always love what it was. I'm sure you guys are watching the finale now. I won't. I did just read about it and saw clips.. Eesh.. Didn't expect greatness anyways..I'm surprised Diana didn't write a part where Claire sleeps with someone else because she lost Jamie again... LOL Sorry couldn't help it..
You'll find me in the beginning where everything was perfect. ❤️❤️ Will I go to another event… Who knows, my friend doesn't seem to care what I think so meh. 😂😂😂 Now if it was a Richard event.. I'M THERE! ♥️♥️ Plus TBH I do like taking one for the team and reporting back to you guys! LOL
