The King Is Dead

Thomas Kinkade died in April. Strange that this breaking news caught me after almost three months since the World of kitsch lost its King.

Statistics say that every twentieth American household possesses at least one artpiece done by Kinkade. Too bad there is no data measuring the influence on health condition of these art collectors. Responsible authorities should announce caution warnings for those who pay a visit to Kinkade's exhibition. Looking at master's paintings is a high danger for diabetics as they could be overdosed by all the sweetness. Also one could suffer from an unmanageable desire to poke out her/his eyes with a cake fork. Self-preservation is powerful. 

Enough of sarcasm though. Btw. isn't it interesting that so many successful artists die of such a prosaic way as an excessive use of valium and alcohol is?
