Birthdays should just be renamed "cake day" cause really, its all about the cake and tea.

However, any excuse to buy myself a new teapot I guess lol

Today at work, I was unexpectedly on cakes.

I did....

16 colossal cupcakes

12 double layer round cakes

three 1/2 sheets

10 Colossal cookies

10 iced brownies single brownies

144 standard cupcakes

AND THEN I CAME HOME AND BAKED 24 CUPCAKES AND A 1/4 SHEET MARBLE CAKE FOR MY OWN PARTY !!!!

I AM CAKED OUT!!!

Not perfect, but I’ve been slowly working my way through bakery cakes at home. I’ve had one cake failure but it wasn’t *that* bad and I’m keeping it frozen to use for something. Seeing as I’m working largely from memory measurements and then sizing way down, in metric, I’m pretty pleased. This one is almost right—I think I underbaked it by about 6 min., they would have been perfect for slicing into squares and eating plain but for filling and layering they got a bit squished. The buttercream could also be more lemony, but I wasn’t about to use every lemon in the house when mom needs them for dinner. So! Tuscan Wedding Cake—olive oil citrus cake with lemon buttercream (German-style custard buttercream). Next week, carrot cake!

Future

Steven Universe. Its currently on hiatus. So far I’m surviving off of reading fanfictions. But I’m still wondering if we’ll ever see zircon (blue) again. She was the only one to address the problems during the trial. I also hope that the other minor characters that we’ve seen throughout the series will be seen in future episodes too. You know like aquamarine, holly blue agate, jasper?

Also do any of you feel this strange vibe that pearl has more history as a “pearl” than we thought. Some past trauma. Because I know that the SU fandom is theorizing that she was the original white pearl. Do you think the diamonds recognize her? Will we get a scene in the show where she meets up with yellow and blue pearl and they sort of have a reunion?

I want to know more if pearl really was the original white pearl and why they had a switch with the original pink pearl! Maybe it was because white pearl was too creepy. I don’t know! Please comment down what your thoughts are!
