“Ugh, why is it so hot out...!?”
Mugen was sitting in the shade of a cliff at the beach, exhausted from running around trying to avoid the heat of the sun’s rays. Now he was dripping with sweat.

Gay-af blushes because TWO Cala Marias.
Here the silly little comic that’s dubbed
Remember this ask meme? Yeah, I did say I would draw one of these unprompted. Basically, it plays with the idea of @cala-marix‘s take on Cala Maria being able to change size (like the canon Cala Maria, if her appearance in the crowd at the end of Cuphead is any indication), and I thought of her being in her Merdusa form and flirting with Mugen.
Cala Maria was rather hard for me to draw; I wanted to imitate the style she was originally drawn in, but I don’t know how well I did that.

Mugen looked up at the building nervously. He and Cala had been swimming along the coast and decided to check out the cliffs in the northeastern part of the isle. That was when he saw it.
“Um, Cala?” Mugen asked his girlfriend, “Has that building always been here?”
If he had been on the Inkwell Isles longer, he’d know that the answer was “no”. The fact of the matter was, this grim-looking establishment had appeared very recently, across from where the now-defunct Devil’s Casino used to be. People immediately suspected this was the work of demonic hands, but most noted that this building seemed different from his usual works, too…
This large, rectangular, steel-bound building was so very different from the rest of the very colorful Inkwell Isles’ areas, and something about it seemed…soulless. It didn’t help that there weren’t any markings on it; no signs, no arrows pointing out an entrance or exit door (though there was a small door set into the front of it, which was facing the path that crossed the tracks), nothing. It was just gray; perhaps that’s why it seemed so lifeless?
It wasn’t even painted in flat colors, like some of the other locations on the isles or Inkwell’s inhabitants; in cartoons, this would be a static background painting.
It was close enough to the water that Mugen and Cala could spot it, though it was up on the top of the cliff that the tracks were on.

And now I'm just imagining Marianne between two Calas kissing her cheeks and her being red as a TOMATO due to last night's insanity. XD

"Dear girl, are these little ol' toy boats giving you trouble? I myself am impartial to these over-salted sea dogs taking up these waters. If you'd like... I can get them off your hands. But... such a thing won't come without a price."

Mugen’s cheeks turned red when his giant mermaid girlfriend smooched him on the lips, but he did his best to return the kiss. Smooch, smooch, smooch, smooooch… <3
“I love you so much,” he told Cala Maria, a wide smile on his face and eyes gazing lovingly into hers.
