Sorcerer Supreme Family

Within the context of the DC Universe, three characters have been hailed under that title and were actually related to one another.

Calculha: Also known as the Ancient One, he is actually a deity embodying light and goodness who originated from Darkworld, which is currently a piece of the Great Darkness in the form of a cosmic creature whose body doubles as a dimension & their dreams oddly generates magic (complex weird shit amirite?) He’s the earliest, if not first, explicit Sorcerer Supreme in DC.

Arion: One of the two twin sons of Calculha & his wife and equal, Dark Majistra. His history differs in continuity but Arion is commonly a demigod, Lord of Order, & ruler of Atlantis whose magic skills rivals Nabu. In addition, he is the ancestor of the current Royal Family of Atlantis.

Zatanna: Most people already are familiar with this backwards casting sorceress but many aren’t aware that she is both the official Sorceress Supreme in DC & she is related to Arion & Calculha both through her mother’s (NOT Giovanni Zatara) side.

Kent V. Nelson: Sorcerer Supreme of (New) Earth [Note: Not to be confused with the original Kent Nelson]

Would you believe me If I told you these two are different versions of the SAME character. DC’s ridiculous history in whitewashing is bad enough but how is it you go from a woman with Egyptian aesthetic to…..that?

Her husband was not spared either. He went from complete DILF to DILTFGAF (Dads I Like To Fucking Get Away From). Like seriously why? What purpose did it serve to make him MORE bland in appearance? And the new ones are supposed to be Aquaman’s ancestors.

Imagine; we lost this Sorcerer Supreme DILF, his equally as powerful Mistress of the Dark MILF, and their sexy ass sons & family cosmic shinanegeans in animated form.

Acho até um absurdo que zatanna, Arion e calculha são da mesma linhagem e nunca ninguém tentou trabalhar isso na zatanna e nem se quer chegaram a se encontrar, e meio louco pensar o quanto a sua cosmologia ficou paralisada e estagnada com vários enredos repetitivos.

Bem pelo menos sabemos que eles ainda são ancestrais da Zatanna, espero que o título de prime magus esteja associado a linhagem especial de zatanna que tem até deuses em sua árvore genealógica, sua linhagem mágica poderia estar conectada aos 3 grandes aspectos da magia já que calculha e considerado o também o deus da luz.

sindella

como eu gosto desse designe da sindella nesta comic, ela parece tão etérea e mágica como se fosse uma elfa de luz alguém que transmite grandeza.

Interessante notar e que o cabelo dela brilha um dourado que irradia luz, achei essa ideia fantástica era um elemento que eu queria que estivesse em sua versão na terra principal, poderia simbolizar a pureza de sua magia, poderia ser uma marca de sua linhagem como se fosse um presente do deus calculha deus da Luz e de tudo que e puro do qual ela tem linhagem.

Tais elementos da sindella nesta comic me fez lembrar a lady galadriel de senhor dos aneis em que o cabelo de galadriel e dito ser agraciado pela luz das duas árvores sagradas de Valinor, sempre vejo sindella como uma personagem de muito potencial pra expandir os mythos de zatanna sempre acho uma pena ela ter ficado excluída de suas histórias por tanto tempo.
