I gotta say, I appreciate that we’re getting to see Dodger’s tattoos a little more these days 👀 (I will absolutely be giffing his scenes the second I can)

And the crash was as exciting as I hoped it would be! I’m still like 99% sure either Charlie or Vicky is dead and Frankie has a career-ending injury. I’m sure Caleb’s fine, though I’m not ruling out a potentially career-ending injury for him as well as he’s clearly quite active/sporty 👀

I’m completely unsurprised that Gemma gets herself into danger, I have no idea why she thought staying in that world was a good idea after everything.

Also, the young adults are a mess. Prince stepping in front of Leah to protect her from Gemma’s armed henchman, Vicky then thinking there’s something going on between Leah and Prince, then Vicky kissing Caleb?? Sure, why not. ALSO, first look at the new houseboat, which I think may actually still be in front of the Dog like I hoped judging by the pictures (although, I’m still confused by Leah saying it’s down by the river if that’s the case?)

And also all of them confessing a secret they’ve been carrying cannot end well lmao

they break Caleb out of the hospital to attend Ste’s wedding. Maybe it’s just me but attending the wedding of a person I didn’t know at all would not raise my spirits.

In Hollyoaks what do you think about Frankie and Caleb.

Honestly, I’m pretty indifferent to them xD They’re alright, but I don’t really feel anything between them, and the whole thing felt a bit rushed when I wanted the focus in the aftermath of the crash to be on their injuries and how it was effecting them

I'm giving Beth some grace for now because we don't know a lot about her yet, except she has abandonment issues with Jack, and she had a traumatic intro to the neighborhood; the show doesn't seem to want to talk about it, but having your kid, who had athletic dreams, put in wheelchair is pretty devastating. I also remind myself that Nancy would have been equally on the warpath if the situations were reversed and I love Nancy, so it would be hypocritical for me to rag on Beth too much. She would have totally stormed into the Keanes. Those two actually seem very similar to me.

Also, why has the show not covered more emotional fallout for Frankie not getting to go to dance school and potentially never being able to dance the same again. These injuries should be more of the story. Less of the unnecessary romance and family drama.

Yeah, I really do wish the storyline was more focused on the injuries as well, it was what I was expecting and I’m really disappointed that they have focused so much on the romance and family drama instead. Even the upcoming spoilers about Caleb worrying he can’t give Frankie what she wants physically isn’t really about his injuries as much as it is about his relationship (that he literally just got into — it would have been more interesting if he was already in one before the crash and he was now struggling with that and worrying about how it would effect it). But yeah, the aftermath of this storyline has been a let down.
