So since Lovely Little Losers has wrapped, Caleb has slowly been turning into Costa McClure. To top it all off, he's directing a version of Doctor Faustus. Avant-garde. With 5 actors. And a dance sequence, an escape sequence, an unrehearsed sword fight, maybe some levitation, and fake blood, which does not come out, at ALL. Art imitates life imitates art!

Because Doctor Faustus isn't hard enough to stage successfully, a different actor will be taking on the role of Faustus every night, having never rehearsed with the rest of the cast. Any of you in Auckland between the 30th May and the 3rd of June should get along to the Basement Theatre to check it out!

No one wants to know this but I wanted to write down how I came to find Peter and Balthazar.

A couple of months ago, I binged watched the first two seasons of Westside because Pana Hema-Taylor who played Nasir in Spartacus is in it …

And then later on one day about 2 weeks ago, a Peter x Balthazar video randomly came up on my YouTube recommendations and so I thought “ooh more cute boys to ship” and I watched it.

A few seconds in, I looked at Peter and did my usual thing of “He looks familiar, what’s he been in” and as what always happens, about a second after that, it came to me, he looks like Sparky from Westside.

So of course I did my usual thing of going on imdb to check and sure enough, there it was…

Caleb is not involved with Bright Summer Night (beyond being real supportive and cool). 

Reuben is involved through his music; he’s doing two songs for the Kickstarter we ran, and we are likely going to use some of his other music in the webseries itself. :)

They’re some lovely peeps, we’re very lucky to know them and have their support for Bright Summer Night.
