Calendar fic my beloved!
Essentially the boys are submitting photos for the yearly firefighter calendar again and instead of the two of them competing Buck has the brilliant idea for him and Eddie to send in a joint submission since there's technically no rules against. His reasoning is they are both very hot and look good together which makes Eddie’s brain melt and before he knows it he and Buck are doing a little photoshoot together in tank tops and their turnout pants and even a few shirtless ones and needless to say things get very HEATED (maybe they totally fuck maybe they don't) but when Buck looks back at the photos he sees how Eddie looks at him and it's not just lust and BAM one confession and several orgasms later they are finally together
It is my honour to present my ficlet for the @fellowshipofthefics Calendar with @frosticenow at the helm.

Dortha – lovingly called Dotty by her friends – gazed down into the small garden, nestled against the slopes of the mountain dreamily.
She was relieved that Kíli was otherwise occupied as it would have mortified her to be caught staring at Ori – a friend of a friend, so to say – without having any valid excuse for her persistence ready, and she couldn’t come up with one for the life of her.
Kí was no big help anyway; he had known the handsome scribe for many years and – after reconquering the Lonely Mountain side-by-side – they were more than just childhood acquaintances; they were fast friends. Hence it was easy for him to flippantly speak as if there was nothing easier than just walking towards the said hero and striking up a conversation; for Kí, it was probably really as natural as breathing.

Thor paced in the common room waiting to be called down. He was twirling Stormbreaker within his palms- the action bringing peace to his mind while he ruminated over the problem at hand.
He trudged along the floor-to-ceiling windows, enjoying the sunlight. Looking down, he could spot some of the adoring public with signs for him, and the other Avengers, at the street level. He smiled and waved as he covertly flexed his biceps to show off. He could hear the faint screams of some of the more ardent fans.
Thor prided himself on his body. He trained and fought hard to get back in shape. Especially after fighting Thanos. Never again will he feel weak and sullen. His people were safe. The world was safe. And his brother- is alive! Now if only Loki would actually live.
He needed to find a way to push his brother into action. The both of you skirted around each other like young adolescents with their first love. Initially, it was cute, but now it was just getting tiresome.
He knew that if Loki wanted something, truly wanted something, he would fight for it. He wouldn’t give up so easily. Thor assumed that Loki would’ve mentioned something about his affection towards you sooner. Especially when the whole photoshoot started, and Stark announced a gentlemanly competition amongst them for your love and affection. He thought that Loki would, in his exaggerated fashion, claim that he loved you more than anyone else on the team and that you were off limits.
So maybe a more hands-on approach was needed. He looked over to Loki who was eyeing the door to your studio all morning. When he finally looked over to Thor. Thor gave him his sweetest smile.
“Do you know whom she fancies, brother?” Thor asked him suspiciously.
“Why would I ever care to think about whom Y/N is attracted to?”
“How do you know I was speaking about Lady Y/N?” Thor raised his eyebrows and goaded him. “I can tell that you care for her Loki. Just admit it.”
“In a platonic manner, yes. I simply care for her as a friend and think that she’s overworking herself for the sake of this insane date-keeper.”
“Thor, you’re up! Scopes asked if I could get you.” Shaun interrupted their conversation.
“Thank you, Master Xu. So, tell me, is she in a good mood today?” Thor asked, a plan hatching in his head.
“Yeah, I suppose so. I had to go in there to make sure she ate. You know how she gets.” Shaun said towards Loki who just clenched his jaw.
“Oh good. She’ll have enough energy for me, then.” Thor said. Loki grew apprehensive by his statement. What could Thor be planning?
Thor stopped pacing and took off his cape, followed by his armor's top leather chest plate. The screams from outside nearly doubled in decibels. His rippling muscles were on display for the two men sitting with him as well as the rabid admirers downstairs. Lightning fizzed in the air as the gentle hum of his power radiated throughout the room.
“Dude. How do you get that muscle right here?” Shawn pointed towards his own body, asking for advice.
“I don’t know, my fellow warrior- work out?” Thor shrugged, clapping his hand on Shaun’s shoulder. Shaun just rolled his eyes.
Thor marched off towards your studio, his smile growing wide as his plans finally came together in his head.
Loki stewed as he watched his brother take his turn with you. His fury was on the verge of exploding. What was his brother planning? He didn’t know what to think when it came to Thor. At first, Loki thought that he would have to fight him for your attention. He didn’t want to admit his feelings for you, especially to Thor. He always manages to get everything Loki desired for himself.
But yesterday, Thor showed great respect in guiding you toward him. That perhaps Thor was helping him in his pursuit of you. But now, it seems the gauntlet has been thrown as Thor unashamedly disrobed and strutted like a peacock toward your studio.
“Lady Y/N?” Thor greeted as he walked through the door.
“In here Thor. On the computer. Are you ready?” You yelled out, finishing the lettering for Scott’s page.
“Almost. You said as naked as we’re comfortable with, yes?” Thor queried.
“Yes…” his question made you suspicious of what he was planning. You slowly turned the corner, hearing Thor rustle against some of the exercise equipment.
“OH MY GOD, THOR!” You yelled as you quickly covered your eyes to his full-on nakedness. It wasn’t quick enough, however. Your skin blushed and heated as the image burned itself in your mind; Thor standing proud, his sharp and distinct muscles on display as well as his -ahem- well-endowed instrument. You got a full-frontal view of his other hammer.
PENIS! Ohmigod, I saw his Penis! And you were not going to scrub the image away anytime soon.
“While I appreciate the sentiment, Lady Y/N, you do not need to call me your god. I am simply just the god of thunder. But if your exclamation is due to my superior physique, I welcome that whole-heartedly.” He said coming closer to you.
“STOP!” You held your hand out. “Stop where you are. Don’t come any closer.” Your one hand covered your eyes, while the other reached out to ensure he was far away from you.
Your hands felt warm and firm skin. Trying to figure out what you were touching without looking, you ventured your hands north, not wanting to accidentally touch Mjolnir. You peeked through the open slits of your fingers and realized you were touching his hard pecs.
“It’s all right, milady. You can look. We Asgardians don’t have those predilections to modesty as your people here in Midgard. We are open about our sexuality and propriety. You should have seen some of the more robust gatherings we’ve had in the past. Even Loki…”
“…And I’m gonna stop you right there.” You interrupted him holding your finger out to his lips.
“But I was just going to say that Loki…”
“Shhh!”
“Loki…”
“AJZZZZSSSSHHH! Shh! Stay. Right. Here. Thor. Okay? I’m gonna need a moment.” You left him in the studio, not looking back.
All Thor wanted to do was recount how Loki would be the center of attention at these bacchanalias’ revels back on Asgard. Thor’s plan was to show you that Asgardians aren’t as prudish as the Midgardians here usually are. He was going to narrate all the stories that made Loki legendary back home. Surely, Thor could’ve validated Loki’s readiness and eagerness to please a woman such as yourself. He would’ve attempted to make Loki appear as voracious and capable so that you would want to copulate with him that much sooner.
It was a foolproof plan. Why, in all the nine realms, would you deliberately push this opportunity away? Maybe she doesn’t like him back?
You walked out of the studio and slammed the door behind you. You pinched your shirt and attempted to get air through your neck as your skin continued to flush. You slid down the wall and sat in the hallway, waiting for your breath to catch you. You knew you were gonna see some things during this whole ordeal. You did not expect it to be Thor’s. And you certainly did not expect it to be that – godly.
“Darling?” Oh, holy hell! “Are you all right?” Loki’s voice settled in your ears and brought about a new pink hue throughout your body. You looked up and watched him crouch down to you. “You look uneasy. Has my brother done something?” Loki stretched out his hand and felt your forehead with the back of his fingers. The coolness of his skin sent shivers down your spine as the nearness of him heated up your core, causing you to sweat, embarrassingly so, in front of him.
“I…um…I just needed a moment. Y-your brother is in there. Naked.” You swallowed.
“He’s what?!”
“Fully naked. I saw everything.”
“Did he attempt anything? Did he hurt you?” Loki said with a simmering rage as he stood up and walked towards your studio door.
“No. No. No. Loki. It’s fine.” You said as you grabbed his hand to try and stop him. He looked down into your eyes and then at your joined hands. “He was just exuberant about the shoot. That’s all.” Loki helped you stand up, carrying you to your feet. His jaw tightened as he relished the feel of your delicate fingers in his hands.
All too soon, you took them away, not wanting to make him feel more uncomfortable than he already is.
“I apologize for my brother, Lady Y/N. Sometimes, he requires adult supervision.” Loki tried to conceal his hurt at your reluctance to hold his hand. “Would you like me to stay with you?”
“You’d do that?”
“There’s nothing else I would rather do. Of course, to watch over Thor.” Loki amended.
“Right. Of course. To watch over Thor.” You agreed.
No sooner had the two of you gone inside the studio, that Loki threw a towel at Thor’s face. “Will you cover yourself up, you brute!”
“Loki!” Thor yelled with excited glee. Maybe my plan worked after all, Thor thought. “I’m so glad you could join us brother. Although, why are you here?” Thor questioned as his eyes darted back and forth between you.
“Go on, darling. I will make sure he is proper by the time you finish your preparations.” Loki whispered into your ear. You left to get your camera set up quickly, wanting this particular shoot to be over and done with. “I was outside waiting to hear of your turn and what do I see? Y/N! Running out of her studio acting faint as if she’s seen Yggdrasil itself.” Loki whispered angrily in Thor’s ear.
“Truth be told, brother…” Thor gave him a look, raising his eyebrows. “…I mean…” Thor said pointing towards himself. “They don’t call me The Mighty Thor for nothing.”
“Pray to our father, Thor, that I don’t beat you mercilessly right now. It is by the grace of that lovely woman that I spare your life. What exactly are you trying to pull?”
“Oh, come off it, Loki. I’m on your side. I was going to tell her of your capabilities. I was going to promote your virile sensibilities and your voracious appetites. I mentioned our past exploits and the orgies we used to have back on Asgard.” Thor said clapping his brother’s shoulder. Loki’s eyes grew big with malice and shock. “If that doesn’t appeal to her, then nothing will,” Thor said winking as he put on a pair of shorts.
“You WHAT?” Loki yelled in anger.
“Thor…are you covered?” You said coming back into the room and looking down.
“Oh, he’s covered all right,” Loki grumbled through gritted teeth.
“Oh good. Ok (phew). Thor, why don’t we start with some simple shots of you standing there?”
“Wherever you want, Milady.” Thor happily obliged, standing and posing in whatever way you thought was best. Loki stood behind you, trying not to let his rage get the best of him.
Thor embarrassed him! In front of you! The misinformation, the lies, and fabricated images in your head will surely turn your favor against him. There was only one thing to do. Retaliation.
You took some snapshots of Thor, not really looking at the viewfinder or at the preview window of your camera. You were focused on getting him posed and standing still for more than a couple of seconds. Handling Thor was like handling a four-year-old hopped up on sugar and juice with ice cream to spare. So you had him burn off his extra energy on the workout equipment you had set up.
When you did decide to look through your viewfinder, you were confused. Is it the lighting? Is it- is it Thor? “Um, let’s take a couple more pictures, Thor. Maybe ones with you on in a different light.” Thor happily obliged, smiling at his brother. Loki only pulled a side of his lip up in anger.
You continued to look through your camera. Angry and confused. You kept looking back at Thor, then at your camera, then back at Thor. It was like you were capturing two different people. Maybe it will look better on the computer.
“How did they turn out, Lady Scopes? Did you capture my physique? The essence that is THOR?”
“I, um, captured something. Although, I don’t know if it’s me or maybe…” Thor came around the computer to see what your reluctance was about. As the pictures loaded on the screen one by one, Thor got angrier and angrier.
Each picture of him resembled that of what Stark liked to call ‘The Lebowski.’ His definition, his arms, his physique, all rolled together into a shapeless form of what he used to look like.
“LOKIIIIII!!!!!” Thor yelled next to you, making you cover your ears.
“What?!” Loki growled back.
“Change them back this instant!”
“No.”
“Why would you attack me like this brother?”
“Why would you embarrass me in front of…Why would you embarrass me?!”
“I did no such thing.”
“Did too!”
“Did not!”
“Did Too!”
“Did Not!”
“DID TOO!”
“DID NOT!”
“BOYS!” you yelled out. “That’s enough!” Both men looked at you, stunned. Only their mother could get both of them to stop arguing like that- with a firm, and resolute command.
“Sorry.” They both apologized in unison.
“I appreciate the apology. But what you both need to do, is apologize to each other. Thor, you embarrassed Loki and that wasn’t very nice.” Although you had no idea what he would be embarrassed about. Perhaps, it was the fact that Thor’s behavior was uncouth to him. “And Loki, it wasn’t nice to remind your brother of a very delicate time in his life. Now, say sorry to each other.” Both men looked each other in the eye and they apologized. “Jeg mente bare at du skulle komme inn i hennes gode nåder, Loke. Jeg støtter deg. Jeg vil at du skal være lykkelig.” (I only meant for you to get into her good graces, Loki. I am on your side. I only wish for you to be happy.) Thor said in Norwegian.
“Din intensjoner er gode, bror. Men, for kjærligheten av Alfǫðr, la meg klare dette selv!” (I can see that your intentions are good, brother. But for the love of the All-father, let me handle this myself!) Loki pleaded. Thor nodded his head in agreement. “Og jeg skal gjenopprette bildene dine. Jeg lover.” (And I will restore your photos. I promise.) Loki answered back in the same language, flicking his hand, and restoring the photos to their original grandeur.
You had no idea what was said. Only that the two gods shook hands. “Milady,” Loki said with a bow. “I should take my leave now. I feel like I’ve given you more work than I’ve actually helped. Plus, I don’t think Thor needs any more adult supervision,” He chuckled.
“Oh. Ok. Goodbye Loki. Thank you for your help today.” Before he left the door, you caught up to him and said, “You know, if you ever want to just come by, you’re more than welcome here.”
“Truly?” he asked amazed. His heart lightened and fluttered at your invitation.
“Ya, I mean. You certainly helped that one time with Scott. And now with Thor. I think I could use an assistant,” you smiled up at him.
“Thank you. I shall have to think about it. But just know, that I am always here if you need me,” he smiled. You nodded and turned the corner, back towards your computer, before Loki could register the happy dance you were doing internally.
“I saw that!” Thor said, surprising you from your reverie. “You like him!”
“Shhh!”
“You like my brother!” Thor exclaimed giddy and elated! “I knew it! I knew it!”
“Keep it down Thor!” You tried to silence him. You didn’t know if Loki had left your studio already, but you would be embarrassed to know if he heard anything.
“I overheard Xu and Lang talking about my brother’s fondness for you. It was quite evident to most of the team. I don’t see why my brother doesn’t see it.”
“Thor. There is no way. Those two are just making stuff up. Gossiping chicken heads.”
“But you like him. Admit it.”
“Thor, please. I’d rather keep my wits intact. I Like him. I do. Too much.” Even though you said that last line under your breath, Thor’s godly hearing still caught it. “But I’m not…”
“If you finish that sentence with something negative about yourself, dear Y/N, I will be forced to have Banner do those weekly talks with you about feelings and thoughts.”
“Ok. I won’t.” You smiled up at him.
“Du er like blind som Loke.” (You’re just as blind as Loki.)

Summary: It's Shaun's turn in front of the camera and he has a few tricks up his sleeve or lack thereof to impress you.
Pairing: Loki x Reader (eventually)
Word Count: 2.1k
Warnings: Fluff
The next day brought on a new kind of worry. Tony’s words rang in your ears, “The gun show starts with Ten Rings.”
Shang-chi, or Shaun as he asked you to call him, was gorgeous. He had the body of a well-toned athlete and the dry humor of a charming late-night talk show host. All of which would endear anyone to him.
And that’s exactly how you saw him, endearing. But did you see him as anything more? You hadn’t really thought about it.
He was very popular with the ladies. The tower was surrounded with fans for most of the guys and there would be a sprinkling of Shaun’s fans scattered within them.
The interactions you had with him were very few. You haven’t even been on a mission together. You’ve only hung out at the tower or at karaoke nights when Sam and Thor corral the rest of the team for some drunken foolery.
“So over here?” Shaun asked, bringing you back to reality.
“Ya, wherever you want.” You waved at the room as you prepared your camera. “Go wherever you feel comfortable.”
Shaun walked around your studio, trying to get a feel of where he could impress you the most. He saw some workout equipment and wondered if you would be impressed by that. He looked over to you slyly, seeing if you were watching him as he artfully took off his shirt when your eyes met.
You blushed and forced yourself not to turn away. You’ve seen these guys with their shirts off, walking around at the gym, working out. But there was something intimate about the way your eyes met when Shaun took off his shirt.
Get a grip! You’re gonna have to shoot some of the guys in less clothing. Better get used to it now.
He picked up some dumbbells and proceeded to lift them into bicep curls. You looked through the eyepiece in your camera and lined up some shots. You took a few more with him using different equipment but nothing was screaming out at you. It didn’t feel natural.
Shaun felt a little crestfallen at your lack of reaction and obvious dismay. I should’ve known it wouldn’t impress her. She works out with us every day. I need to show her something different.
He didn’t let that bother him though. Instead, he chose to stay positive and see what else he can do to impress you. So, he looked around the studio trying to see what else he might astound you with.
That’s when Shaun saw the small kitchen you had in your studio. “Is this part of your set-up?”
“Hmm? Oh no, it’s just my break area,” you said playing with the light ring. “Tony had it modularly installed so that he can keep me in here non-stop like a workhorse for this calendar.” Shaun gave you a bewildered look. “I’m joking,” you laughed. “Sorta…Tony ends up getting me delivery most days to try and stay on my good side.”
“Well, have you eaten at all today?” He asked.
“I had half a muffin earlier and two Tic Tacs.”
“That’s not a meal. That’s not even a full pastry and breath mints? Let me cook you something,” he said as he walked over to the fridge and opened it.
“I’m afraid there’s nothing in the fridge.” You said watching him as he pulled out a bottle of vintage Dom Perignon.
“Nothing in the fridge? Girl this must be hundreds if not thousands of dollars!” he exclaimed holding up the bottle.
“Tony must’ve put it in there. I don’t remember ever opening that fridge.” You laughed.
“Ok. I’ll be right back.” Shaun left the studio to go upstairs toward the communal kitchen. No one was around except for Loki, who was sitting on the living room couch reading.
Loki looked up upon hearing your door open. He was dismayed to see a half-naked man exiting your studio. Shaun waved his greeting as he headed straight to the fridge. Loki narrowed his eyes and nodded his greeting in return.
Loki watched as he pulled out a carton of eggs, amongst other groceries, and balanced them all in his arms. The last thing Shaun took was a can of whip cream, but only after looking at it decidedly longer than he should have. Making Loki uncomfortable at what he might be planning with you.
Shaun came back into the studio, arms filled with enough food to feed a small family.
“What uh- what are ya making there?” You asked as he set all the food down. He brought down eggs, cheese, and pancake mix in a bowl. From his back pocket, he pulled out a can of whip cream that he placed on the counter.
He turned to look around the kitchen for something. You used this unguarded moment to take a couple more snapshots with the remote control you had in your hand. He found an apron hung by the side of the fridge and proceeded to put it on.
You watched as he filled two champagne flutes with orange juice. After the loud pop of the champagne bottle, he continued to fill the rest of the glass.
“For today’s menu, my two specialties are omelets and pancakes,” he smiled as he handed you your mimosa. “What would the lady like this morning?” He laid a towel over his arm and bowed to you, eliciting a smile from your lips that had him take a quick breath.
“Ooh…a man that can cook. Ok, how ‘bout an omelet?”
“What would you like in it? I brought a bunch of stuff from upstairs to make it with.”
“Simple cheese would be fine. Don’t strain yourself over me,” you said blushing as you fidgeted with the remote in your hand.
“You’re no bother at all! I love to cook. I hope I get to do it with you more often,” he said laden with promises of the future. You watched Shaun work his way around the kitchen. He threw an egg in the air and cracked it with the side of the spatula. A proud grin on his face when he saw your eyes widen with surprise.
“Ooh, and he’s got tricks.” You laughed.
“That’s nothing. Watch this.” He took an egg and placed it in the crook of his elbow. He raised his eyebrows as he proceeded to curl his bicep and crack the egg open, the yolk and albumen spilling into the bowl. You stared at him in disbelief. “Don’t worry, I washed my arm.” And then you lost it. You laughed so hard at his charm and quirky sense of humor.
“How did you do that?”
“It’s not hard. I think you have the muscle for it. Here try it.” Shaun grabbed your waist and pulled you closer to his chest. You could feel the warmth of his body so close to you as he placed an egg at the bend of your arm. His thumb grazed against your elbow as he held it. “Now flex,” he whispered. “Like you’re Thor showing off to his fangirls downstairs.”
You giggled at the silliness of it all, and you had to admit, that you were having fun. Shaun’s playful nature always made you laugh, making you feel carefree. You bit on your lip as you tried to focus on cracking the egg but instead were distracted by Shaun’s own body so close to you. You watched his graceful hands move as he flipped the pan, making a perfect half-crescent omelet. He went out of his way to make you something. And that immediately warmed your heart.
You flexed hard and tried multiple times, but the egg wouldn’t crack. The egg dropped to the floor and Shaun was quick to provide you with a new one. You laughed every time you failed. Each egg kept dropping to the floor and the two of you were making a mess everywhere.
Outside, Loki had ventured closer to your studio door. He could hear the melodic tones of your laughter as the two of you spent time together. His overactive mind giving him vivid scenarios of you laughing while Xu uses the can of whip cream he brought down. Was Shaun the one you’d been harboring feelings for? The revelation struck him blind. In all sincerity, he thought he would only have to contend with the soldiers. But the looks all around the table at that meeting a couple of days ago said otherwise.
Loki ran his hands over his face when a sudden crash went off inside your studio and he heard you scream a surprise. Worried, Loki quickly ran over to see if you needed help.
“Scopes?” Loki yelled out. The giant studio seemed empty until he heard the sweet call of your laughter coming from your kitchen.
Loki’s eyes widened at the scene he saw unfolding in front of him. You were in Shaun’s arms. The two of you covered head to toe in flour. Laughing and giggling as if you had just done something so mischievous.
“Ahem.” Loki cleared his throat out loud. You turned to face him. Your red blush showing through the white flour covering your cheeks. Shaun stood you upright and then tried to dust the pancake mix off his face.
“Loki!” you cried and pushed yourself away from Shaun’s embrace.
“I was passing by, and it sounded like you needed help outside. I wanted to make sure you were all right. But I see now that you are in...very capable hands.” Loki growled.
“I-uh, we were just…” your mind scrambled to come up with a reason as to why you were in Shaun’s arms. You didn’t think that Loki would care but you didn’t want rumors going around about something that wasn’t true. “Shaun was teaching me how to crack an egg and I slipped on the ones that fell on the floor. Luckily, he caught me, but not before I grabbed the bowl of pancake mix and launched it up into the air.”
“I see. You don’t need to explain anything to me, Scopes. I just wanted to make sure you were not in danger.” Loki said coolly.
“Thank you,” you said gently as you looked into each other’s eyes. His statement cracked your heart. Of course, he wouldn’t care. Why would Loki get jealous if you were in another man’s arms?
Shaun paused, watching the interaction between the two of you. Especially yours. A small smile played on his lips as he put all the pieces together.
Shaun bristled as Loki gave him one last stare and left the studio. Oh, no. That’s not good. Did I just get cursed by a god?
“Ah-why don’t you eat, while I clean this up.” Shaun offered.
“I can help.”
“No. No. I insist. I made this for you. You should enjoy it while it’s hot.”
“Thank you.” You said as you tucked in to your delicious cheese omelet. “It’s lovely.”
“So…” Shaun tried. “You and Loki, huh?” he said raising his eyebrow.
You choked on the morsel that was in your mouth at his statement. He patted you on the back, handing you your glass of mimosa. “I, uh…”
“Don’t deny it, Scopes. I saw how red you turned when he walked into the room.”
“Ok. I won’t! But you can’t tell anybody.”
“Why not? Just go for it. YOLO, my friend.”
“Ya and that life would end as soon as he laughs in my face and rejects me,” you mumbled as you took another sip of your glass. Shaun vaguely remembers the meeting they all had about this calendar. Apart from Tony, Clint, Rhodey, and Bruce, he was pretty sure that everyone else in that room had the hots for you.
“I don’t think…”
“Promise me you won’t tell anyone!” You demanded.
“Okay, okay I promise.” He relented. “But-” he quickly turned his expression giving way to a devious smile on his face. “-you’ll have to do something for me.”
“Oh God, what is it?” you groaned.
“You have to do three duets with me next karaoke night,” he said holding up three fingers.
“What!”
“Take it or leave it, Scopes.”
“One song.”
“Two songs!”
“Fine. Two songs. Both my choice.” You fumed.
“Deal!”
“Deal.” You both shook hands. “Now clean this up while I finish this delicious breakfast.” You commanded.
“Yes, ma’am.” He laughed as he reached for the paper towels.
In the end, Shaun chose one of the candid shots you took of him as he was searching for the apron. “You make me look good.” He said staring at your computer.
“You already look good. I just took the picture.” You remarked.
Having spent most of the day cleaning and cooking, Shaun left you to finish working on his page as he went upstairs. He was surprised to find everybody there.
Loki gave him a look of annoyance as his lips thinned and his eyes narrowed. “Well, it’s not me guys,” Shaun exclaimed to everyone in the group, shaking his hair of excess flour.
There was a visible sigh of relief from some of the other men who haven’t had their turn yet. Most notably from the god of mischief himself.
“Oh, let’s not all get too sad about it,” Shaun said sarcastically.
“My condolences, Mister Xu.” Vision said as he held Wanda’s hand. “I know you were looking forward to today.”
“That’s all right. I got a good singing partner out of it.”

Summary: Bruce takes a turn behind the camera.
Pairing: Loki x Reader (eventually)
Word Count: 2.4k
Warnings: Nudity, Language,
You were distracted today. The light coming in through the studio windows made the most amazing hues of blue and grey. You caught yourself just watching the dust motes float throughout your space. You only did this when you were tired and bombarded with work. You would shut down at the heavy load you had to carry, which made the in-surmounting task more unbearable. You were behind on your work, and this wasn’t helping.
You stayed up late most nights and barely had any time to eat or do basic things just to catch up to a more reasonable workload. Never again, you thought. I would much rather wait out, straddled on a tree branch for my mark, than do another photoshoot like this.
The train of thought got you irate as you fantasized about ways of getting even with Tony. Maybe I can mess with his photo. No, that won’t be professional. How do I make him uncomfortable? Then suddenly, an idea hit you. “FRIDAY? Would you like to play a prank on Tony with me?”
“What did you have in mind, Miss?”
Knock. Knock. Knock.
The knock on your studio door surprised you. No one ever knocks on your door unless they had a scheduled shoot with you that day. Everyone else, Shaun or Wanda more frequently, would barge in unannounced as if it were an extension of the common room and not a professional working studio where you needed space and quiet and a Certain Level of PRIVACY FOR YOUR CLIENTS!
…deep breaths…
But you digress. The knock on your door rapt your attention once more. “It’s open, Bruce, come in,” you yelled as you tried to continue working on FRIDAY’s coding.
“Scopes?” Loki’s deep voice sent a welcome shiver throughout your body, pooling as it heated into your core. You turned to face him and smiled as he brought you a small plate of bagels slathered with cream cheese. “I figured I’d bring you your breakfast since Xu is currently discussing something lengthy with my brother. I also brought you my cardigan back. I didn’t know if you had one in here.” He started looking around. “It does get rather chili in here.”
“That’s so thoughtful. Thank you,” you said taking the plate from his hands. “You guys dote on me too much.”
“It’s not doting when I’m just being a decent person. I could be doing more. I’m just a friend, who simply wanted to ensure your well-being.” Loki smiled.
He hated the word as soon as it left his mouth. Friend. Loki wanted to be more. He wanted to be your beloved. Your lover. Yours.
You reciprocated his smile as genuinely as you could. Shaun was mean for getting your hopes up as high as they were. There was no way Loki thinks of you as anything else other than a friend. He just said so himself. “Thank you.”
“Who is scheduled for today?”
“Bruce,” you said taking a bite of your bagel. “He should be coming in any minute now.”
“Will you need any assistance? Do you mind if I stay and watch?”
“I would love some help. But it should be up to Bruce...”
“What should be up to me?” Bruce interrupted, walking into your studio.
“Bruce,” Loki nodded in greeting.
“Hey, Loki. Hey, Scopes.” Bruce said wearily.
“Hi, Bruce. You ok?” you asked, your eyebrows furrowing in concern.
“Ya…yeah I’m fine.” He didn’t look fine. He came in agitated and bewildered. “I just got a lot on my plate right now and I haven’t really slept at all. Tony’s been asking me for this prototype with MARK 44. Then he has me doing this shoot.” On cue he yawned, stretching his right hand up and arching his back.
“I’m sorry Bruce. Do you want to reschedule? I don’t mind. I can get someone else here today and you can come back when you’re better rested.”
“No, no. I’d rather do this now and get it over with so I can just go one with my li…FREAKIN’ HELL!” Bruce stubbed his toe on the corner leg of the table. He didn’t see it as he was coming forward and yawning, knocking over your bagel plate onto the floor.
“Oh my god! Are you ok?” you asked hurrying over to Bruce.
“I’m fine. I’m fine. It’s just not my day today. Awe and I ruined your bagel. I’m sorry.” He frowned as he watched Loki discard the bagel in the trash and clean up the cream cheese off the floor.
“Bruce. Let’s call it a day. Spend this time unwinding. Why don’t you join Loki and I for brunch? Would you like that?”
“No. Let’s just get this over with,” he growled. You backed away, seeing that Bruce was starting to bulge a little and turn slightly green on his neck.
“Sure, Bruce. So, whatever you’re comfortable with,” you appeased. Loki could hear the tension in your voice. He looked over at Bruce and saw that he was agitated, to say the least. “How bout we take some pictures by the wall over here?” You pointed away from the windows and kitchen. Away from the glass and sharp objects that you could easily be thrown into in case of a breakout.
“Darling,” Loki whispered in a low voice. “Are you all right?” He entreated quietly while still watching Bruce. You nodded your head and smiled. Your eyes frantically looking to the door of the studio, signaling Loki to get out while he can. Or possibly get help.
Normally, Bruce was so even-tempered. The mild-mannered doctor was always gentle and unassuming. But that was with a good amount of sleep and no annoyances to plague his mind.
The good doctor, as of right now, was agitated, annoyed, and very much angry. You didn’t think he could handle another setback to his day.
“SCOPES!” Tony yelled as he slammed the door of your studio open. You gave an exasperated sigh at Tony barging into your work area. “What did you do?”
“Tony I’m in the middle of working here. On a project, I might add, you gave me a strict deadline for,” you snapped.
“So, I ask again. What did you do?” Tony commanded as he stepped closer to you, pointing a finger in your direction.
“To what?”
“Stark, is this really necessary?” Loki interjected, standing in between you and Tony.
“Oh, you can’t save her Rudy. I was in the middle of a meeting with Fury and some military higher-ups when I asked FRIDAY to start the demonstration. Do you know what she said to me?” he raged.
Your years of training had prepared you for this moment. This moment right here, to school your expression and feign innocence in front of a hostile interrogator.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about.” You raised your chin and looked the other way.
“She called me daddy. DADDY! I said, ‘FRIDAY, run the simulation please.’ And she said, ‘Yes, daddy. Which range missile would you like to fire first?’ At that point I had most of the officials looking at me strangely, wondering if I actually get my AI to call me ‘daddy’ like I’m some narcissistic billionaire with A KINK.”
“Well, in due fairness…” Loki interrupted.
“Stay out of this, Loki.” Tony snapped in his direction. “Fury’s questioning whether to take me off the bill. So I looked up the last person who had access to her coding and lo-and-behold it was you. On this computer. Fess up, Tweets.”
“THAT’S ENOUGH!” The frightening growl came from Bruce. Slowly and unnoticed by everyone in the room, he had started turning and twitching. His linen shirt ripped to shreds as his hulking green muscles came out. Bruce grew taller and taller as his trousers fought to keep themselves wrapped around his waist, finally snapping and letting go, contributing to the growing dust mote population in your studio.
One final roar came out of The Hulk’s mouth announcing his presence. “NO MORE FIGHTING.” He picked up the weight bench in the work-out setup and threw it against the door of the studio, locking everyone inside.
“Someone get Nat.” You yelled.
“FRIDAY,” Tony called out.
“Yes, daddy?” She answered back. Tony sighed as his nano suit formed around him. You could see his eyes roll behind the Ironman helmet.
“Inform the team there’s a breakout in Scope’s studio.”
“Affirmative, daddy.”
“You are changing that as soon as we are done here, young lady!” Ironman pointed to you before he hovered a few feet off the floor and tried to steal The Hulk’s attention away from you.
Hulk picked up more furniture and tried to swat Ironman away. “HULK MAD. HULK FEEL LEFT OUT,” as he picked up the weights and hurled them across the room, one by one.
“Loki. Go!” You pushed him behind the kitchen counter. “Find Nat!”
“I am not leaving you!” He said with furrowed eyebrows. “Are you mad?” He wrapped his arms around your shoulders, covering you, just as splinters of wood came pelting from the ceiling.
“You’re the only one that can materialize out of here. Now go! The sooner you leave, the sooner you can come back.” Loki looked into your eyes. The struggle inside him played out on his face. He did not want to leave you in danger. But he knew you were right.
“Come with me, then.” He tugged at you, ready to materialize both of you out of there.
“My computer!” You pulled away from Loki’s embrace, crawling towards your table. No sooner had you touched your laptop, than Ironman had landed right behind you. On your path back toward Loki. “Go Loki. Find her,” you commanded Loki.
He shook his head. “I am not leaving you here!”
“STOP FIGHTING.” The hulk screamed out loud, propelling something towards Loki, making him disappear in a flash of green seidr. You could only hope, Loki managed to get out into the hallway or appear wherever Nat currently is.
“Tony! Tony are you ok?” You knelt down to grab his helmet. Opening the front mask. “FRIDAY, Vitals!”
“Mr. Stark’s vitals’ are normal. He has a mild concussion. He will be ok.”
“Ok. Ok. Ok. Think Y/N. Think.”
“HULK MAD. NO ONE ASK HULK ABOUT CALENDAR.”
“I-I’m sorry Hulk. You’re right. I should’ve asked you too.” You stood up trying to appease the giant behemoth in front of you. “I would completely understand if you didn’t want to be in the shoot and we can just get someone else.”
“NO! HULK LIKE CALENDAR. HULK WANT TO BE IN CALENDAR. HURT BECAUSE SCOPES DIDN’T ASK HULK.”
You opened your mouth in realization and quickly shut it afterward. “I’m so sorry Hulk. I didn’t think…”
“NO ONE THINKS OF HULK. ONLY BANNER.” Hulk swayed a little bit, his giant torso shifting until he sat down on the floor. His angry face changed into that of pain and trouble.
“Would you like to be in the Calendar, Hulk? I think we can make that happen. Think of it like a special edition. Everyone will want it because there will be only a few printed. You will be ‘special.’ Because you are special. And there is only one of you.” You said as you got closer and closer to him. You laid your hand on his giant arm.
Hulk grunted and nodded his head. “HULK SPECIAL.”
“That’s right. You are special, my friend.” You giggled.
“HULK LIKE SCOPES LAUGH.” He said as he patted you on your head gently. “WANT TO MAKE LOKI AND SCOPE KISSY FACE!” he put his fingers together in proceeded to push them against each other, motioning a kiss.
For the second time that day, you widened your eyes in surprise. “Now, now, Hulk. Let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves.” You laughed nervously, as he continued to pat your head. Knowing Hulk, he probably did have the strength to play with the two of you like you were Barbie and Ken dolls.
Geez, even Hulk knew about your infatuation with Loki. This is getting really embarrassing. Were you that obvious?
“Anyways, let’s get you set up. Pose for me and I’ll take a couple of shots, ok?”
“OK.” Hulk stood up and posed for you under your direction. You got a couple of good shots of Hulk roaring and lifting heavy objects. When you finished, you showed him some of the results on your computer and he picked a couple that he liked.
“GOOD JOB, FRIEND. HULK HAPPY.” The blast on the door stole both of your attention as the team worked their way in trying to get to you before any more damage can occur. “BYE FRIEND.” He grunted as he held out his massive hand.
“Goodbye, my dear. I’ll see you soon. Ok?” you placed your hand against his, noting how your hand was not even a quarter as big.
Loki appeared next to you, suddenly, out of breath. His eyes darted between you and The Hulk. “Darling are you ok? I went and found Nat and the others,” he wrapped both hands around your shoulders turning you in his direction. He dutifully looked you up and down, trying to note any marks or bruises that you might’ve gotten.
“I’m fine Loki. Thank you.” you smiled. Hulk bunched his fingers again and motioned for a kissy face and laughed. He patted both of your heads, and Loki winced, preparing to be swung like a ragdoll.
Nat came around and started stroking his arm. “Hey, big guy.”
“NAT NAT.”
“Come on. Let’s get out of here. Somewhere bigger where we can run, huh?”
“OK.” Hulk proceeded to place Nat on his shoulders. She sat there as his hand covered her legs, securing her so she won’t fall off. Everyone watched as they both walked out of the massive hole that was once the entrance to your studio.
“Ugh…FRIDAY?” Tony said getting up from his collapsed position on the floor.
“Yes, daddy?” The AI answered. Everyone turned their heads toward Tony. Mirth and amusement on their faces.
“You’re fixing that now, Tweets!” Tony pointed to you as he ambled in the walk of shame in-between team members who were laughing. “Status report, FRIDAY.”
You bit down on your lip and smiled up at Loki. You couldn’t miss the light and adoration in his eyes at the trick you had just pulled.
Only one word popped into your head as you looked into his eyes, daddy. The following word that came into your head, broke your heart, and that was friend because that’s all he ever saw you as.

The sound of deep thumps and metal clashing stopped as soon as Bucky approached the gym. Most of the team had been training. Loki in particular threw himself into drill works with his daggers. He stopped momentarily when he saw Barnes walk into the gymnasium. As did all the other men who were there.
Loki noted that only Xu and Lang were the only ones who continued their exercises. As if they didn’t need to know the outcome of Barnes’ photoshoot with you.
“It’s not me guys,” he said with the most forlorn expression. Wilson came up to him and patted him on the shoulder. Rogers just crossed his arms with a trivial look of smugness on his face.
A small bud of hope bloomed inside of Loki as Thor nudged him on the shoulder. “Ikke bry deg om de, bror. Helvete vil ønske deg velkommen raskere med all din bekymring.” (Don’t pay them any attention, brother. Hell would welcome you faster with all your worrying.)
“Det er vanskelig å la være når disse gribbene prøver å vinne kjærligheten til ditt livs kjærlighet.” (It's hard not to when these vultures are trying to win the affection of the love of your life.)
“FAEN! (Fuck!) I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT!” Thor burst into a scream.
“Shh. Shh.” Loki shushed him, pushing him to keep quiet as everyone’s attention turned towards Thor.
“Peace. Peace.” Thor said to everyone else. “As you were.” But inside, Thor felt as giddy as spring maidens frolicking in the newly bloomed fields of Asgard.
Meanwhile, Nat, Wanda, and Pepper had taken you out of the tower completely to have dinner. They saw you break down. You haven’t been yourself in a while and they missed your usual joyful nature.
Pepper took you all to an exclusive restaurant where you had a private booth in the back all to yourselves. The dinner was exquisite and you were all just drinking and relaxing talking about various life pursuits.
“So, how’s the calendar coming along?” Pepper asked. “Tony isn’t overworking you, is he?”
“No. No, he’s not. He’s been very lax about it actually.” You answered.
“So why do you look like you’re so wound up?” Wanda asked sipping her cocktail.
“Well imagine, that every single day of your job, you have to fend off the advances of different men hoping to get your attention. Some of them being your closest friends and others really just breaking your heart.”
Nat snorted and gave you the side-eye. “Ok miss perfect. I get it,” you said to her.
“Why don’t you just tell them it’s Laufeyson and get it over with? You should’ve just done that from the beginning.” Nat said.
“Ok, you knew?!” You exclaimed.
“We all did,” Pepper said.
“Frankly I don’t know why it’s taking the guys so long to figure it out. It’s so freaking obvious.” Wanda chimed in.
“Which brings me back to my question. Why don’t you just say it’s him and get it over with?” Nat asked again.
“Because he doesn’t like me, Nat. He only thinks of me as a friend.” The collective groan from the three women made you cringe. “I’m not ready for that rejection.”
“You’re just as oblivious as the men!” Wanda yelled, signaling the bartender for another cocktail.
“They’re probably all in the gym right now. Working out, thinking that they need that extra muscle to show off.” Pepper giggled. “When in reality it’s the…”
“…the arms,” Nat interjected. “When you can trace that vein up his arms and rolled-up sleeves because he’s straining to keep his unbridled desire for you.”
“Or the stare. When he sees you walk into a room and his eyes darken and his jaw clenches at the sight of you and he loses all train of thought.” Wanda added.
“…the whispers in your ear.” Pepper finally finished, looking out into the restaurant, lost in her train of thought. “The sweet romantic ones of love and support. Then the dirty naughty ones when no one is watching.” All four of you tittered at Pepper’s thoughts.
“No. They’re all at the gym right now working out because they can’t understand the female gaze.”
“To the female gaze.” Nat raised her drink up high.
