I PASSED THE CA BAR EXAM ON THE 1ST TRY 😭😭😭😭 I did it!! Typically only 22% pass the February exam, this round 36% of people passed AND I WAS ONE OF THEM ♥️

A year ago, if you would’ve told me that I would be staying up and playing 2 hours of Among Us with my girlfriend, and on Discord hanging out with my classmates who are her friends and now becoming my friends I would’ve been like wtf? 😅 I never thought I’d be dating another law student/lawyer. Especially not one that goes to my school and has so many similar interests.
I was this👌🏽 close to being engaged with someone who wasn’t meant for me. Someone who loved me on the surface, but who I had to walk on eggshells around. Someone who didn’t truly care about it understand me. Today Alyssa and I talked about priorities and such, it’s her first year of law school and that ish gets crazy. On top of that with COVID, things are constantly changing, and she recently had a loss in the family. With all that we’ve been navigating seeing eachother, spending time, etc. Quality time is super important to me and sooo today I was like hey can we talk about priorities and like how to navigate things to make sure we both feel prioritized within this all and she was super attentive and like NOT ONLY DID WE DISCUSS THINGS BUT THEN SHE TOOK ACTIONS LITERALLY RIGHT AFTER. Like she was so about it 🥺 she also communicated the actions that she took and was going to continue to take. The amount of effort is immaculate.
She made me realize how much I’ve been settling and I know that I’ve been settling because I’ve worked really hard to make sure I stop falling back into the habits that make me settle. My close friends and family have been super protective over me since the last relationship and they all have a really good feeling about this one. Also one of my bestfriends messaged her without telling me, and Alyssa told me and sent me a screenshot and the exchange was SOOO freaking cute 😭 I can’t believe these are the people I have in my life. Again, whatever happens with all this, all I know is that I can’t go back to settling during or after this.
Tuesday this I was able to submit a motion to the court that I wrote for expungement of a 23 year old former gang-member’s criminal record so that he could move forward with his life. It was approved.
Thursday, I won a scholarship for over $10k and it was awarded to me during a gala.
Friday, I spent the night with my family.
Today, Saturday, I went with my love and my law school crew to Madera, a small urban town about 3.5 hrs away that consists mostly of farm-workers and immigrants. We went out there and did a legal workshop that helped those who needed DACA renewals and citizenship paperwork. We were able to help 66 people/families!! This is huge for a town that has little to no legal services, especially not free ones.
It’s instances like this that remind me why life is soo worth it even with all the crazy. I’m so blessed to be able to do what I do. I’m so grateful to be in love with and loved by someone who isn’t in the same field as me but will give up their Saturday to go volunteer with me. We have been up since 5:30 and now I can hear her breathing just as she finally got to go to sleep. She’s definitely one of a kind ❤️
And I don’t think I could forget the moment we realized our hands fit perfectly in one another’s.
May Allah have mercy on your soul you ignorant woman who is too attached to this world.
May God have mercy on your soul, you ignorant person who isn’t self-aware or versed enough in the religion to understand what is right and what is wrong. God/the Universe loves all of those who were created because they are are what it chose to create and they don’t need to be anything more than that ❤️ I’ll pray for you to learn to love yourself and see more sunshine ☀️ in your life.
Also, to anyone who comes across this, no matter what you believe God/the Universe/etc. knew just what it was doing doing when it created you. You’re exactly how you’re supposed to be ❤️
