"Hey, Green, hand me the aux." Steph mumbles distractedly, pulling up her playlist.

"No fucking way. You're gonna turn on Fleetwood Mac the entire time." Lex huffs. "Give it to me, Ethan."

"Hey, Green, hand me the aux." Steph mumbles distractedly, pulling up her playlist. They're preparing for a long road trip to Milwaukee so Ethan and Lex can see the Harley-Davidson museum. Steph is going because it's a few days away from her dad and a few days to spend with her partners, even if she'll have to hear them nerd out about motorcycles. (Though she thinks it's kind of cute, but she'd never admit it out loud)

She's sitting in the back so she can stretch out. She holds out her hand, waiting for the cord to be placed in her hand, but it never comes. She snaps her hand impatiently.

"No fucking way. You're gonna turn on Fleetwood Mac the entire time." Lex huffs. "Give it to me, Ethan."

Steph looks up, narrowing her eyes at her partner."So you can turn on MCR? Emo." she smirks. "Just give it to me, yeah?"

Ethan hesitates, looking between both of them nervously. As expected, her comment ticks Lex off. "I don't even like MCR, and I'm not fucking emo," they hiss.

"Grunge. Whatever." Steph rolls her eyes. "I'm sure Ethan doesn't want to hear Metallica screaming in his ears the whole drive."

Lex smacks her hand away lightly. "That's not even—shut up! Whatever I put on is better than letting him put on Bruno Mars."

"Yeah, true." Steph nods. "Don't let him have the aux."

"Hey!" Ethan grumbles.

Steph scrolls down on her playlist and spots something. "Wait, wait, I got it. I promise it's good. Please, Lex, you love me."

Lex hums. "Fine. Don't make me regret it. I'll fight you." they hand the aux back.

Steph reaches for it and plugs her phone in. Ethan really needs to invest in a stereo with bluetooth. "Sure, short ass." she mumbles.

She presses play on Paint It, Black by The Rolling Stones. Lex nods to themself as it begins from the speakers.

Ethan takes it as a sign to start the car, backing out of his driveway. Steph knows they'll fight over the music more, and she can't wait. Fuck, she loves these losers.
