A local adventurer has brought The Butcher of Winterhold to justice. Last night outside Blacksmith Quarters local bard Arivanya was attacked by Calixto Corrium, proprietor of Calixto's House of Curiosities. The adventurer, hired by the Jarl's Steward to investigate the murders stepped in and preventing the butcher from achieving his fourth murder. Corrium was notably detained as a witness to the murder of Susanna the Wicked but was free to go after claiming he saw a man flee the scene. Authorities have declined to comment on this failing.

Further tragedy last night. Nilsene Shatter-Shield, twin sister to Friga Shatter-Shield (The Butcher's second victim) was murdered inside Candlehearth Hall. The perpetrator is still at large with no leads in the investigation. Authorities are asking for anyone with information to please come forward.
