Oh no. So Ethan hasn't listened to the voicemail. Then listens, finds out it's Ellison and then thinks the police will deal. They probably don't have enough evidence and Ethan will go vigilante to get Cal revenge. I am devastated but I am god damned HERE for this. Justice for Cal!

Cal's final minutes...and what was on his mind.

Ethan really needs to talk to the team and ask about Cal's last moments, especially Dylan about how he was only thinking about Ethan even then. I want Ethan to know that. As painful as it is. I'd also love a quiet Ethan/Dylan moment where Dylan's sorry he couldn't save him when he told Cal he would. Heartbreaking stuff right there.

5 Reasons I hate Cal's death

Reasons I am mad about Cal being killed off.

1) The absolute finality, couldn't he have just moved off to do a surgical rotation and then Ethan could have flown out there when he left so he wasn't left facing huntingtons alone?

2) The lazy past year of storylines for him. If they planned to give him a big death then they'd have known for at least three months he was leaving and they could have given him so much better than a stupid storyline with Alicia and a strike to play with. Not to mention lack of brother time.

3) Shabby resolution and no payback to the huntingtons story. Such great acting went into that, such awareness raised to literally drop it after with zero brotherly fallout or consequence. What a joke.

4) Such a tragic end for the character. He's young and at the start of his life and you just cut him down. Ugh.

5) Ethan! Ethan a thousand times Ethan. - What have you done to that poor guy? His only family in the world now dead. So harsh, so unfair and if they have him get over it in a few episodes i will be absolutely furious.

The one good thing about this - we should get some dramatic Ethan stuff from it but I never wanted that at the expense of Cal's life.

I doubt i'll watch much after he goes. The brothers were what interested me and apart from seeing a few episodes after to see how Ethan's dealing i'm just not invested any further.

Cal’s Accident/Murder Death

I can’t stop thinking about how devastated Ethan is going to be at Cal’s death. Let alone me. Ugh it physically hurts to think of them without the other and that’s all of Ethan’s family that we know of dead. How cruel that he had to witness two moms die cruel deaths and then be diagnosed himself and now he’ll have to watch his only sibling die in probably a shocking, sudden, young death. I’m going to need to update my ‘Ethan’s awful life’ post after that. It’s so heartbreaking. I am sort of dreading the next released Casualty trailer. I watch for the brothers and that’ll end them for me. Poor, poor Ethan. It’s so painful. And do not dare try and act like Alicia will be enough of a support for Ethan after they’ve only known each other a short time Casualty. This is going to break him. In terms of Cal’s death are we thinking that scene in the rain is when it happens? The whole thing is killing me.
