please send help im a hot mess

Okay guys. I want to take commissions, for BSSM fanart and calligraphied things and electronica and whatever the hell else I can do that I can monetize, possibly even beta-read fics and proofread research papers and essays. I literally have $3 in my bank account and $10 left in credit on my $1k credit card, and don't get paid 'til April 1st.

I have a ko.fi, listed above in my header somewheres, but even though I splat bursts of original things out on this blorg with irregular frequency, I hate asking for donations.

The problem is, I cannot actually figure out what to charge for anything since I have an awful tendency to want to base prices on what I can afford, and I make between 600-1200 USD per month as a per diem substitute teacher.

Can someone please help me figure out pricing? I am so bad at the money part of anything and am told undervalue my work by a long shot, but... I want to get paid, you know?

i can give estimates on how long i take making things, depending on what they are, by hour.

In an effort to try to do anything to pay my bills I’m also opening up Calligraphy Commissions. Each phrase and the like with be $3 each. Lightweaver photo is older but the last two are more recent. My lettering will look slightly different from others because I’m left handed, a beginner, and have moderate pain my wrist due to my last job at the factory.

I’m literally running out of funds to pay my bills, my phone bill still looms in the distance and its getting harder and harder to be able to pay for everything. I’m getting desperate and the hunt for a job isn’t getting any easier, the only place that’s open is the very place that almost put me in the hospital. I need help of some kind please. Every little bit helps.

I’m a queer autistic person and the shrinking job market here in the south means that I can barely get a job in the first place, I’m doing everything I can to do so but there’s only so much I can do in a short amount of time. Any little bit helps, $3 is more than I would have had before.

good evening it is time to whore myself out for money once again

i’m a broke college student who can’t drive and has less than a year of job experience so no one wants to hire me (world’s smallest violin, i know)

i do both modern and traditional calligraphy and have since i was 11 years old. this is one of the pieces i made earlier this week for funsies (i DO NOT do professional work on notebook paper) but i will be glad to show you more references of my work!

you can commission whatever you want, in whatever colors you want, as long as it’s not any neo nazi headass bullshit!! prices are negotiable as well as shipping/scanning arrangements, just dm me and we can talk. thank you!!!

So this is a good way to practice, share my calligraphy with more people, and hopefully make some money.

So here’s how it goes:

You can ask for any of the following sizes of canvas (thin ones, sizes listed from left to right), for the prices as follows:

-14x18: $20

-12x16: $18

-12x12: $16

-10x10: $14

-8x10: $12

-8x8: $10

-5x5: $5

Then:

-choose a phrase (anything from anything)...phrases over 20 words will be 50 cents per additional 5 words

-choose a color (literally just any color you want, send me a picture or describe it)

-if you want, you can also recommend a background design (but you don’t have to)

-choose a font (you can choose anything from this list, or send me the name of one not on the list and I’ll find it)...if you don’t choose a font, I’ll do some sort of standard calligraphy lettering
