Soo was himari planned or was a surprise pregnancy?😨
Akaashi watches you with a blend of amusement and curiosity, his eyes soft as they trace the passionate gestures of your hands. You’re sitting across from him, on the couch, your legs tucked under you, eyes bright with conviction. This is the third night this week you’ve started this conversation, and he knows where it’s headed—but he can’t seem to resist listening to your arguments, especially when you make each one with so much emotion.
"I’m serious, Keiji," you insist, leaning forward, and his attention hones in on you fully, captivated by the energy you bring. "Think about it—a tiny little person who’s half me and half you. Can you imagine? They’d be so loved, with you as a father."
Akaashi chuckles softly, lifting a brow. "You make it sound simple," he murmurs, leaning forward so your knees touch. He reaches out to trace his fingers over the back of your hand, which you’ve been waving around in your impassioned speech. "But…are you really ready for all the diapers, the sleepless nights?"
You pause, letting out a little laugh because, yes, you know exactly what he means. "I know it’s going to be tough, Keiji, but isn’t that what we’re here for? To go through those things together? And, besides, you love a good challenge."
Your teasing tone doesn’t mask the genuine yearning in your voice, and Akaashi notices, as always, the way you soften when talking about family. You’ve always been close with your family, and he knows how much you cherish every little moment, every laugh, every hug. The thought of extending that family, of building something that belongs to both of you, has lingered in your heart for a while now, and he knows you’re already picturing a future where a little one is part of it.
"And, you know," you add, your voice growing softer, "I just keep thinking about what our child would be like. You’d be such a good dad, Keiji. You have this way of making everything feel calm and safe… Imagine them learning from you, growing up with you guiding them."
Akaashi's gaze meets yours, and he feels a tug at his heart. He’s always known you to be a compassionate and nurturing person, but seeing you this open, this hopeful—it’s stirring something within him. Still, he can’t help but playfully poke a little. "You think I’d make a good dad, huh?"
Your eyes brighten even more, as if he’s given you the encouragement you needed. "Yes! You’re so thoughtful and gentle, Keiji. And you know how to listen. You’re the kind of man who’d be patient when teaching our kid how to ride a bike or helping them with their homework. I can see it so clearly."
You pull out your last argument with a grin, tapping your fingers on his knee. "Besides, you can’t deny it—we’d make an adorable baby. Imagine their curls, their skin, a beautiful blend of both of us. They’d have your eyes, your calm presence. And maybe a little bit of my fire." You say this with a cheeky grin, fully aware of the effect your words are having on him. Akaashi chuckles, but he doesn’t hide the soft look in his eyes as he imagines this future.
The way you describe it, he can practically see it: a child toddling around the apartment, tiny hands grasping at his as he guides them through their first steps, the sound of laughter filling the home. He envisions a little one with curls like yours, bright eyes looking up at him in wonder as he tells them stories or shows them the stars at night. There’s something incredibly grounding, and thrilling, about that image.
He studies you for a moment, taking in the hope in your expression, the way you’re leaning toward him like you’re trying to convince him of a truth he hasn’t yet seen. And he realizes, with a warmth settling in his chest, that he wants this just as much as you do—if not more.
"Alright," he finally says, and you blink, not entirely sure you heard him correctly. "Alright?"
Akaashi smiles, and there’s a hint of mischief in his eyes now. "You make a pretty convincing case." His hand moves to hold yours, his thumb tracing gentle circles over your knuckles. "I think… I think I’d like to see that future too."
Your heart swells, and you let out a little laugh of disbelief, your grip on his hand tightening. "You mean it?"
He nods, the smile on his face one of quiet certainty. "I mean it. We’ll probably be exhausted, and it won’t always be easy…but I can’t think of anyone else I’d rather do this with."
Overwhelmed with excitement, you reach forward and pull him into a hug, burying your face against his shoulder. He laughs softly, wrapping his arms around you, steady and warm, holding you close. In his embrace, you feel the promise of the future you’ve both agreed on, and it’s everything you could have dreamed of.
You pull back just enough to look at him, a glint of determination in your eyes. "I’m holding you to this, Keiji. Don’t think you can back out now."
He smirks, giving you that familiar, steady look. "I wouldn’t dream of it."
As you settle into his arms, resting your head on his chest, you feel a deep sense of fulfillment. It’s a future that’s just beginning to form, but with Akaashi by your side, you know you’ll face every challenge, every joy, together.
