Second Haul from Althea Korea

Finally got my second haul from Althea Korea last February 22, 2017. I was so happy with my first haul that right after I got it I already placed items on my wish list for my second haul. Kbeauty products are the bomb. I’m starting to have some sort of a skincare routine. 

I actually told my mom that I won these at a giveaway. Hahaha. I didn’t want her to know that I bought these online. She’s not used to me buying stuff like these. But lately, I’ve been trying to like take care of myself and like really learn to do make-up and stuff. I was actually hoping to receive this 2 weeks ago. I placed my order February 9 but for some reason I only got it last week. I even emailed their customer service because I was concerned about my parcel. Maybe there were just too many orders because of their valentines promos and free boxes that’s why there was a delay on the shipments. Nonetheless, I’m still glad that I already got mine. 

If you remember my first box (link here), there are two items which I bought again on my second haul. Let me list down the items that I bought.

Pig-Nose Clear Black Head 3- Step Kit  

Brand: Holika Holika

I was so amazed the first time I got to try it. It’s so satisfying to see those black heads after removing the strip. I really love this product. And once again, I only got it for 80php instead of 160php. Yayyy. I really recommend this product. 

Everyday Bouncy Facial Mask 

Brand: PACKage

I only bought one of these during my first haul. I just want to try it. I’ve tried other facial masks before from Watson’s and they were okay. But I loved this the first time I got to try it. My skin really felt so soft and smooth afterwards. So this time I bought 5. Maybe next time I’ll buy a whole box. And just like last time I got them for 50php each as well. I actually also wanted to try a different kind of facial mask but the ones I wanted were at of stock at the time. Maybe I’ll try a different one on my 3rd haul :-)

Calmia Oatmeal Cleansing Foam (150ml)

I’ve been seeing a lot of good reviews about this cleansing foam so I decided to buy one as well. I haven’t really tried it yet but I’m so excited to see the result on my face once I got to try it. I’ll probably do a review on this one since I bought two kinds of cleansing foam. I’ll be comparing them :-) This was such a good deal because the original price was 400php however, I only got it for 160php!

It’s My Cleansing Foam

Brand: It’s My Cleansing

This was another brand of cleansing foam that I bought. I was actually a bit hesitant on this purchase. Hahaha. I was thinking whether to get another cleansing foam or get Nature Republic’s Aloe Vera Soothing Gel. But I still chose these anyway. I wanted to compare the two cleansing foam to see which one’s better. I’m not sure what was the original price since it’s currently out of stock but I only got it for 122php. Watch out for my blog about it versus the calmia cleansing foam :-)

Calmia Cleansing Tissue (87g)

Brand: Calmia

I saw one of the bloggers I’m following bought these and I wanted to give it a try myself. This was the first item I got to try. It smell’s so good. I tried it after I got home from a 2-hour commute. I can say that it’s effective cause when I tried to wipe it on my face I can really see the tissue having black areas due to the dirt on my face. It also feels cool on the face afterwards. I got it for 60php instead of 120php and it contains 20 sheets. Not bad right? :-)

Selfie Perfect concealer

Brand: Witch’s Pouch 

I actually already have a concealer which I brought from Maybelline. But I decided to buy this so I could try it out to see if it has better coverage than the one I’m currently using. You press the end tip of it so that the concealer will come out. I haven’t tried it yet and I forgot to bring it with me back to my dorm so I’ll probably try it out on the weekend. Surprisingly, from 560php I only got it for 220php. 

Blush & Contour Brush

Brand: It’s my Brush & Puff

I have a concealer and a blush but I’m actually using a beauty blender to spread and blend them in. I wanted to try the brush to see which I like better. Also, I hate the cleaning part when using beauty blenders and I think brushes are more easier to clean. So far I am loving this brush. And since I’m starting to learn and experiment with make-ups, I’ll probably by more types of brushes like for the eyeshadow and eyebrows etc. And can you guess just how much this is? It’s only 32php which is totally a great deal! 

Can’t wait to try them all and do reviews for some of the items. I also have prepared my bag for my 3rd haul. I love shopping beauty products on Althea Korea. Calmia Silky Perfect Foot Peeling Pack Review

Foot peeling pack, a great invention to satisfy your peel porn and achieve baby smooth feet while at it. This time, we’re reviewing the Calmia Silky Perfect Foot Peeling Pack, a pack that I’ve gotten during my 2016 Althea Xmas haul. In the previous foot peel pack reviews, I’ve reviewed the Kocostar Foot Peeling Pack and Lazy Monk Foot Peel Mask. I’ll be doing a comparison between the foot peeling pack to determine the best of the three. 

Calmia Silky Perfect Foot Peeling Pack

Calmia Silky Perfect Foot Peeling Pack is a convenient foot mask pack that is perfect for exfoliation. The effect is said to be very obvious. It will help peel your feet, leaving the baby-soft finish with one use.

Unlike the other foot peeling packs that I’ve tried, the silky perfect foot peeling pack separates the socks from the liquid. This help preserves the liquid at its optimal state, allowing it to be at the freshest when you use it. Various kinds of vegetable ingredients prevent skin irritation and make the skin soft and healthy. Aside from giving you baby soft skin, it can help nourish and moisturize the skin at the same time.

When using the socks, the peeling starts 4 to 6 days after usage and it will stop peeling after 2 weeks. 

The foot peeling socks was rather big. They do not have stickers to secure your socks instead they have these extra-long lines so that you can tie them to your ankles.

The peeling liquid is sticky and clear. It has a strong, citric acid scent. Since you have to pour the liquid into the socks by yourself, it can be a messy affair. Especially for clumsy individuals like myself. Since it is made out of plastic, they are rather noisy when you adjust your feet.

How to use Calmia Silky Perfect Foot Peeling Pack

Put peeling liquid into foot sheet.

Wear the foot mask and tie up the socks at your ankles.

Take off after 1 to 1.5 hours.

Wash the foot clean with flowing water.

Tip 1: Wear Sleeping Socks

One of the tips given was to wear a sleeping sock on top of the foot mask to improve the effects of the peeling pack. It is recommended for you to do it at a cool area for your feet gets hot and stuffy as time pass. Since it was secured via binding, you should not leave your feet up to prevent the peeling liquid from flowing out.

Upon trying the pack for the first time, my feet felt rather cool. Due to the liquid swirling around in the socks, it felt like my feet were swimming in their pool. As time pass, it started to feel like a mini sauna instead.

Before usage

My feet were in a rather healthy condition. Aside from the uneven skin tone and a circular scar at the back of my feet, my feet were not particularly rough or dry. Alike most feet, the heel and mounds were the coarsest part of the foot.

After using the Silky Perfect Foot Peeling Pack

After soaking my feet for 1 to 1.5 hours, my feet felt tight and wrinkly after the release from the peeling pack. Even after rinsing off the liquid, the smell still lingers. On the other hand, my feet do feel cleaner than usual. The peeling will start 4 to 6 days after usage but even at day 0, I had the urge to pull off the outer skin. It gave me the feeling that my skin is slowly separating itself from my feet despite no signs of peeling.

Since AHA and BHA were involved in the formation of this liquid, it is no doubt one’s feet will feel dry during the peeling process. For maximum effect, one should not apply lotion during this period. You can only apply some if it is overly drying.

Tip 2: Soak in Warm Water

To increase the effects of peeling, it is recommended that one should soak their foot in warm water for about 20 minutes from day 2 onwards.

Day 1 to 3

On the first day, my feet have started to feel dry, rough and almost plastic-like. My feet no longer feet natural. Instead, it feels like I have an outer layer of scales instead. Day 2 was when I started my warm foot bath. The condition of my feet still stayed the same. Day 3 was when the preparation of the peelings started. My skin was getting rough and dry. 

Day 4

Day 4 was when it started to peel at the side of the foot. Parts of the skin could be seen stripping away from my foot. The exfoliation effect happens more after soaking in warm water. Some part of the skin also fell off during the soaking process.

Day 5 - Before Soaking in Warm Water

The mounds and toes on my right foot were peeling more than the other side. The toes on my left side were starting to peel as well. Other than that, the foot seemed fine.

Day 5 - After Soaking in Warm Water

Things escalated greatly after soaking in warm water. My right foot looked like a snake shedding its skin by the time it dried. The toe on both feet was peeling better as well.

Although it is recommended to let the skin peel by its own, I can’t help but pull off some of the bigger pieces by myself. Look at the skin. They even had the lines on the feet. Are we no different from a snake?

Day 6

Day 6 is where the mess peeling process happen. A huge tip, don’t wear slippers under the rain when your feet are shedding. The peeling process will escalate greatly once comes in contact with water. I was able to feel the skin shed from my feet as I walk. It was a huge mess. The skin that has yet to peel off felt clammy while the skin that was exposed felt so soft and smooth under. It felt free and breathable once the skin peeled.

Day 7

The base fully came off 1 week after application. The skin looked renewed, softer and smoother. It also looks very clean. Now is the time where the skin on the top of the feet sheds fully.

Day 8

Day 8 is the last day of my record. My feet fully peeled. Although there were little bits and pieces of skin here and there, this was the maximum my skin can shed. It is recommended that after the completion of peeling, one should regularly use Calmia, Silky Repair Foot Pack to ensure soft and healthy feet. Since I did not purchase that, I’m just going to leave this review here.

Sunday = self Pamper Day . #Calmia Foor Peeling Mask today because I needed a new pair of new foot 😜 technically! . Are you familiar with this sort of skin peeling foot mask? I used one for the first time 3yr back and since then it's a mush for me once or twice every year. Tried quite a few brands so far including #holikaholika #TonyMoly etc! . These mask comes with regular foot sheets but some special solution. You'll need to keep the mask on for 1.5 hr then wash off the feet normally. You won't feel anything right away. After a couple of days the upper layer of the foot skin comes off (it always feels magical to me) and you'll see brand new and soft skin inside. No pain or nothing. Just the whole process takes around a week, to clear up every bit of dead skin, feels a bit lengthy. . This gives an amazing outcome removing cellulite and hard skin from the feet.
