#latergram from this weekend of my squats. I just realized during my opener they played "Come on Eileen" 🤣🤣🤣Plan was to open with 195 roughly and then do 215lbs and potentially 220lbs for the 3rd. I missed the 215lbs the 2nd attempt. From a video from the side I almost looked like I tried to high bar it......don't you hate when you feel the bar roll to your neck and know your pretty much screwed 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️. Although I got it on the 3rd I know it shouldn't have been a grinder if my technique had been spot on. I was super stoked going into this meet, it felt great. After we finished the meet back in January we knew training for the Cal State games would have challenges. I knew something was off with me physically. I don't even know how I got through that January meet. I felt weaker, my head was cloudy, and even when macros were on point I was bloated and gaining weight. So after that meet a blood test confirmed I wasn't at a therapeutic level with my keppra dosage. (epilepsy meds). We had to change my training up with @coachlukeepropst having to get really creative at times depending on how I was feeling. Believe me my training brings new meaning to "personalized " training. We also discovered I needed to be on a low-fodmap diet , and once again at 5 weeks out from this meet we had to go through yet another keppra dosage increase. From the data it looks like once we move to a training cycle where the lifts are more taxing it seems that I consistently metabolize the keppra. So we are interested to see how my blood work looks after this meet. I have no complaints though , it was just incredible to go into this meet feeling physically well and in control over my body and the misses wasn't about health it was technique and that was a great feeling. It was nice to even be able to do a small cut and have my body adapt to it pretty well. Would it have been a big deal not making weight ? Not really but I figured it was a great time to the waters 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼 #mondaymotivation #adaptiveaf #calstategames2017 #athletesvsepilepsy #comeoneileen #girlswhopowerlift #usapl #crushthemgoals (at Crowne Plaza San Diego - Mission Valley)
