You can definitely be friends with Cal! I think they’ll definitely find the fact that you’re actually alive super intriguing and want to know more. Even if you don’t actually know who they are/aren’t aware of it.

Hey do you ever just sort of.... stop and think about how Rayla and Callum have pretty much lost everyone that they love and care about in life to this war. 

Both of them lost their parents. (Callum’s lost 3.) 

Rayla’s lost Runaan and her team. (Both physically and he cut ties with her emotionally.) 

Callum lost Amaya in a sense too, when he had to abandon her behind at the lodge. 

He’s also lost his two only childhood friends, having to cut ties from them because they betrayed him.

And now he’s also lost Ezran too, who he’s rarely ever been apart from, as he heads back to Katolis. (And we might see him struggle with that in season 3.)

Rayla is literally all Callum has left, and Callum is all Rayla has left too. That’s so sad but kinda beautiful too in a way. Like they’ve lost everything but they still have each other. They’re literally everything to each other and all each other has left.

I’m emotional.

They were another Harbinger. While the MC was more balanced in their approach— doing things the way each God or Goddess wanted. Calyx/Calya (or just Cal) was quite bloodthirsty and would usually come back to the home base of the Harbingers with blood somewhere on them. They always had a knife somewhere on their person and they’d sooner gut you then hear you speak (if you annoy them).

They found the MC amusing and would usually give much more leeway then they would for other people (though a few people were in that specific group too).

So this was Xadia. Of course, they had been in Xadia the past couple of days, but that had been mostly spent scrounging for food and avoiding deadly sandstorms. But now this… this seemed more like it. A lush forest sprawled out before them, and Callum beamed, feeling his tired legs pick up the pace a little from excitement.

“Wow, someone’s certainly eager.” He heard Rayla laugh. “Slow down a minute.”
